XCP & Openstack
Hey guys, Has anyone had much success with XCP and Open Stack together? I''m in the process of putting together a open stack test cluster and I thought I might be able to use XCP dom0''s for it.. but to be honest it doesn''t look so good. I tried following these instructions on a separate XCP test machine: http://wiki.openstack.org/XenServerDevelopment At a first test

Moving XenAPI python modules in a separate binary
Hi Mike and Jon, If I do this: dpkg -S /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/XenAPI.py then I can see that the XenAPI python package is in fact xcp-xapi. This is quite annoying, because I will need it when building OpenStack nova, but xcp-xapi depends on the Xen hypervisor, which I don't care about when building Openstack. Said in another way: I'd like to avoid having to put

[XCP] XCP network and VLAN by Open vSwitch
Hello Everyone, I am new with XCP. I''ve setup several hosts with* XCP 1.0* and manage it through XenCenter and command console. Each host has two NICs, one (xenbr0) connected to a physical switch for Internet (said sw1), the other (xenbr3) connected to a physical switch for internal network (said sw2). I am trying to setup VMs and VLANs on xenbr3. I created a virtual bridge by

Dear all, How to make XCP cannot management by XenCenter? We have an environment about 10 XCP host, and provide about 50 vm for users, We notice that some users want to use XenCenter to connect the XCP host, even they don’t have password, so we want to make XCP cannot use XenCenter and only for console management, is it possible? Sorry for the strange question,

Bug#677509: xcp-xapi: migration of PV linux does not produce grace ARP
Package: xcp-xapi Version: 1.3.2-6 Severity: important Configuration: Two xcp-xapi hosts (default sid/xcp-xapi installation) in single pool. Network backend is bridge. After migration of 'idle' (doning nothing) virtual machine it stops to reply to ping for long time. AFAIK that caused by mac-learning table on upper level (hardware) switch, which route all frames to wrong port

Bug#696810: If using apt-get and not dpkg -i, xcp-xapi/networking_type isn't respected
Package: xcp-networkd Version: 1.3.2-13 Severity: serious If apt-get was used to install xcp-networkd instead of dpkg -i, then the debconf value selected for network-type wasn't respected. In other words, the users does: apt-get install xcp-networkd then selects "bridge" in debconf, then it's "openvswitch" which appears in /etc/xcp/network.conf instead of bridge.
