Samba 4.3.11 on FreeBSD-10.3 - Firefox problem on Win7Pro
We have recently converted our users from a Windows2000Advanced Server AD-DC to a Samba-4.3.11. AD-DC. For the most part this went very well, saving only for the degree of ignorance respecting things MicroSoft evidenced by myself. However, one of our users persistently reports difficulties with their roaming profile. Specifically, their Firefox profile. This did not occur before the change-over

Problem accessing SWAT with Firefox
Hi, not sure if I'm posting in the right place but couldn't find a SWAT forum. I've just changed my PC but the new one has exactly the same settings (IP, computername, login, password) as the old one, however I am getting an error when I try to access any of my Samba servers from Firefox (2.0.0.3) :- " 400 Server ErrorSamba is configured to deny access from this client Check

Firefox keyword searches for R & S-Plus
If you've 'rediscovered the web' with Firefox (http://getfirefox.com), you might find this tip handy. Suppose you want to search the (local) R documentation for information about the lme function. Wouldn't it be nice to just type into the browser address bar: r lme and have the search performed? Here's how (on Windows): Click on this link:

firefox problem with redirects on centos 5
I'm having a peculiar problem with Firefox only on my Centos 5 desktop. Every time I try a link from a search engine and even when I type in a location, I get a redirect error: "The page isn't redirecting properly. "Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete." However, any link in my bookmarks works,

CentOS bookmarks
Hi, A minor thing: in CentOS bookmarks (those are provided by the Firefox package I think) there is a link to CentOS documentation: http://www.centos.org/docs/7/ ; it gives 404. Best regards -- Dimitri Zelenkin Devexperts Inc

rebuilding firefox-2.0.0.16 from fc8
hello, I started with ftp://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/updates/8/SRPMS/firefox-2.0.0.16-1.fc8.src.rpm with the hope of rebuilding it for el5/centos. All of the dependencies were available (mostly from rpmforge) except one: something called system-bookmarks. I elected to comment out this from the spec, firefox.spec I did the extracts with CPIO rpm2cpio firefox-xxx.src.rpm |

Firefox question
Just curious. I've noticed with the 1.0.3 release (and almost every recent dot release) Firefox becomes unstable until you preserve your bookmarks and blow away the .mozilla/firefox directory. Has anyone heard whether the mozilla developers ever intend to fix this behavior? -- Collins When I saw the Iraqi people voting three weeks ago, 8 million of them, it was the start of

Printing problems with Firefox
I have been having problems printing web pages with Firefox under CentOS 4.8: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.14) Gecko/2009091009 CentOS/3.0.14-1.el4.centos Firefox/3.0.14 What happens is that some of the text is 'scrambled' (looks like somehow something is messed up with the font encoding of whatever font is being used). Sometimes the postscript (or PDF) code being

sharing bookmarks with rsync
I would like to have my computer at home and my computer at work to share the same bookmarks. My idea was to have each of the computers sync with a server's bookmark file. If the client has a newer file than the server it would upload it, if the client has an older file it would download it. I already have the authentication keys set up and want to do it over ssh. Would this be one way to

Firefox 60.0.1.0 ESR Progress?
Thanks for the idea, I'm not in a hurry and don't have a desire to hand-jam upstream versions of firefox onto desktops. I just need to track progress on the patch release and report an ETA to our cyber security team. I just figured CentOS had a fancy devops CI/CD system somewhere that I could keep tabs on to watch what's going on as patches get built, tested and published. Seems
