Xen 2.0.7 , amd64 (32 bit mode) lvm partition: runaway loop modprobe binfmt-464c
Hi i''m trying to run Xen on my amd64. Installed is Debian 3.1 sarge i386 and Xen 2.0.7, my whole enviroment is 32 bit. When i''m running a xenU domain and use /var/xen/samba as a ext2 fs file ( file:/var/xen/samba,hda1,w ) everything goes according to plan. If i use my LVM partition ( phy:/dev/xen/samba-ha,hda1,w ) it gives during boot: -------- ... NET:

Xen and LVM snapshots on FC4
Hello, I''ve tried to make Xen and LVM snapshots work with RHEL3 (upgraded to FC4 partly, using FC4 kernel 2.6.12-1.1387_FC4, xen-2-20050522 installed from RPM). I had a problem where non-snapshot LVM images worked, but as soon as I create a snapshot of one and tried to use that, I would get a crash like this as soon as I booted up a Xen domain: Freeing unused kernel memory: 160k freed

Upgrading Server Motherboard
I have a server running CentOS 4.2 that works as a web/email with very heavy load. It runs Directadmin web gui which is like Cpanel. It runs on a cheapy mATX motherboard(ECS 741GX-M) with socket A 2800+ CPU and 2Gbyte DDR. The OS and data are on a 300Gbyte PATA maxtor drive and data backups are run weekly to another PATA drive. The server is overwelmed and data backups take over 5 hours to

Migrating from KVM to XEN - kernel panic
First let me say that I'm not a sysadmin, but am simply wearing that hat this week so please excuse my ignorance. I need to temporarily move some virtual servers from a CentOS-KVM platform to a CentOS-XEN platform while I do some upgrades to the CentOS box. I've created a local LV, and used DD and SCP to transfer the block device from the VKM machine to the XEN machine. For quite a

[PATCH] Fix request_module/modprobe deadlock in netfront accelerator
There would seem to be a potential deadlock in the netfront accelerator plugin support. When the configured accelerator changes in xenstore, netfront tries to load the new plugin using request_module(). It does this from a workqueue work item. request_module() will invoke modprobe which in some circumstances (I''m not sure exactly what - I''ve not managed to reproduce it myself)

[PATCH] linux: properly qualify all static ''struct xenbus_device_id'' instances
include/xen/xenbus.h nicely declares struct xenbus_driver''s ''ids'' member as pointer to const... As usual, written and tested on 2.6.25-rc3 and made apply to the 2.6.18 tree without further testing. Arndale: domU not booting
Dear all, I followed the steps described in the wiki in order to get an Arnadle board running Xen, but I''m having trouble in starting a domU. Let me describe you the steps I followed. Sorry for such a long mail, but I think that a verbose description is necessary so you can point me what I''m doing wrong. I couldn''t boot properly over the network. This is why I

Timeouts connecting via POP3
I'm experiencing timeouts from time to time from both Mac Mail and Outlook when connecting to my server. I originally suspected that it might be process # related, so I increased the auth & login process counts but that hasn't seemed to make a difference. I'm running 1.0rc10 which came with my DirectAdmin control panel. I'm wondering if this problem is known and was fixed in

Migration failing (xen 3.0.3 on RHEL 5) with "not a valid guest state file: pfn count read"
Hi all, I''m having some problem migrating a simple domU between two hosts. Short question: xm migrate (live or not) fails even though either host is capable of running the VM. Error seems to be: "not a valid guest state file: pfn count read" Long question: I have two boxes (devvmdevvmhost1 and devvmhost2) running xen 3.0.3 (RHEL 5), they are attached to a Dell MD3000 unit

xen guest won't boot after yum update
After a yum update my two guests that had been shutdown do not start any more. I have two other guests running that seem to work okay but I am now afraid that they won't come up again if I restart them. I am running CentOS5 with kernel 2.6.18-8.1.8.el5xen. Previously I had following xen versions installed: Oct 14 23:45:10 Updated: xen-libs.i386 3.0.3-25.0.4.el5 Oct 14 23:46:05 Updated:

OH DEAR! - RE: 2.2.2 runaway SMBD process
Jeremy, Bit of bad news - we had a another runaway SMBD. This time profiles were NOT involved - I was simply copying up an installation of Office2000 and then deleting it. It almost reached the end of the deletion when the processor utilisation went up to 90%. The client connection then dropped with a 'connection is no longer available' and there is now 99% processor utilisation on the

[RFC] nouveau: Add basic i2c sensor chip support
This adds basic support for driving sensor chips off the nvidia i2c buses, along with basic support for reading the internal GPU sensor on supported chipsets. It's heavily cribbed off nvclock. Having scanned a large number of bioses, I'm pretty convinced that the appropriate i2c bus is always number 2 in the list on <g80 - I'm not sure about later cards yet. There's still a lot

2.3.4 doesnt compile on FreeBSD 11.2 using clang
the above(below?) cited patch is already in the 2.3.4 port for FreeBSD. As I stated earlier, I'm the FreeBSD port maintainer. On Sun, Jan 20, 2019 at 11:48 AM Stephan Bosch <stephan at rename-it.nl> wrote: > > > Op 29/12/2018 om 10:25 schreef Aki Tuomi: > > Hi! > > > > Can you give > > > >
