[PATCH 2/4] megasas: LSI MegaRAID SAS HBA emulation
This patch add an emulation for the LSI MegaRAID SAS HBA. It is using SG_IO to forward / pass through SCSI commands to the underlying block driver, so no emulation is done currently. Megaraid SAS driver failing in Xen-3.3.0 but was working in Xen-3.2.2-rc3
On Xen-3.3.0, domain0 Megaraid SAS (SAS 1068 controller) driver is not loading correctly if vtd support in Xen is enabled. It fails at the point of initializing firmware. I wasn''t seeing this error with Xen-3.2.2-rc3 (Unstable version), though with vtd disabled in Xen-3.3.0, it is working. Looks like a degrade problem. Any clues? Thx, Venkat

Compiling legacy LSI megaraid drivers (Linux 2.6.11) with xen 2.0.7?
Hi all, I''ve been using Xen for a while and I am trying to install it onto a Dell Poweredge 2950. The 2850 uses a PERC4/Di raid on motherboard, which requires the LSI Legacy SCSI Raid driver to be compiled into the 2.6.11-xen0 kernel. I''ve been recompiling the kernel by: 1. Go into the linux-2.6.11-xen0 directory. Select the driver using "make ARCH=xen

Have you checked the compile time in the boot messages to see you''re actually booting the kernel you think you are? The compile warnings are nothing to do with Xen. Hello, I''m trying to install Xen3 on a server, but I can''t make the MegaRAID driver work. I''ve installed Debian Sarge, the stock kernel (2.6.8.2) works perfectly with the hardware. The SCSI RAID driver is megaraid. Hardware is : - IBM eServer xSeries 330 server - Dell PowerEdge RAID II controller I''ve recompiled the xen dom0 kernel (2.6.12.6) to include

CentOS4 and older megaraid
Release notes say no support for the RAID card in a box I just picked up...is there no hope for this box running 2.6 kernel? http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/enterprise/RHEL-4-Manual/release- notes/as-x86/ The kernel shipped with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 includes the new megaraid_mbox driver from LSI Logic, which replaces the megaraid driver. The megaraid_mbox driver has an improved design,

Hardware raid LSI Megaraid not working since Centos 6.6
That's weird, because starting with 6.6 we could finally ditch inserting kmods at installation time, the new kernel in 6.6 supported everything. I believe the model we have (among others) is 9341-4i; I would imagine it's pretty similar with what you have. You should open perhaps a bugzilla issue with redhat about this. LSI MegaRAID system status
Dear list, I have inherited a CentOS-5 box with a LSI Sata Raid controller. It is configured as a RAID5 w/hot-standby. My concern is that I have no present means of determining the RAID status w/o downing the system and going into the bios to get status. If a disk has failed and brought the standby disk online, I would like to know about it, the day it happens by seeing it in syslog or getting
