[PATCH] xen: arm: Fixing ttbcr (TCR_EL1 for AArch64) size.
This patch fixes size of ttbcr register (TCR_EL1 in case of AArch64) and it''s programming considering size in case of context switch. Currently ttbcr is defined as 32b register but for AArch64 TCR_EL1 size is 64b. [rfc] [patch] 32/64-bit hypercall interface revisited
Last year we had a discussion[1] about how the hypercall ABI unfortunately contains fields that change width between 32- and 64-bit builds. This is a huge problem as we come up on the python management stack for ppc64, since the distributions ship 32-bit python. A 32-bit python/libxc cannot currently manage a 64-bit hypervisor. I had a patch but was unable to test it, and some other things were

[PATCH 0/5] dump-core take 2:
The following dump-core patches changes its format into ELF, adds PFN-GMFN table, HVM support, and adds experimental IA64 support. - ELF format Program header and note section are adopted. - HVM domain support To know the memory area to dump, XENMEM_set_memory_map is added. XENMEM_memory_map hypercall is for current domain, so new one is created. and hvm domain builder tell xen its

[PATCH] Fix softlockup issue after vcpu hotplug
Stamp softlockup thread earlier before do_timer, because the latter is the one to actually trigger lock warning for long-time offline. Or else, I obserevd softlockup warning easily at manual vcpu hot-remove/plug, or when suspend cancel into old context. One point here is to cover both stolen and blocked time to compare with offline threshold. vcpu hotplug falls into ''stolen''

Add self pause ability, which is required by vcpu0/dom0 when running on a AP. This can''t be satisfied by existing interface, since the new flag also serves as a sync point. [PATCH 0/3] XEN: fix vmx exception mistake
This series of patches fix the mistake for debug exception(#DB), overflow exception(#OF) and INT3(#BP), INTn instruction emulation. Introduce new function vmx_inject_sw_exception() which deliver the software excetion, software interrupt and privileged software exception. Split hardware exception as a seperate function(old function vmx_inject_hw_exception()). Also Passed down intruction length

[PATCH RFC v13 00/20] Introduce PVH domU support
This patch series is a reworking of a series developed by Mukesh Rathor at Oracle. The entirety of the design and development was done by him; I have only reworked, reorganized, and simplified things in a way that I think makes more sense. The vast majority of the credit for this effort therefore goes to him. This version is labelled v13 because it is based on his most recent series, v11.

Problems with enabling hypervisor C and P-state control
Hi, Is there any documentation on enabling hypervisor support for both C and P-state control? On xen-unstable and linux-2.6.18-xen.hg, if I enable cpuidle=1 on the xen command line and then run xenpm, I will get output for C-states (shown below) but it complains that "Xen cpufreq is not enabled!" cpu id : 0 total C-states : 2 idle time(ms) : 73264 C0

evtchn_upcall_mask for PV-on-HVM
We seem to find an interesting bug, but not for sure. Each time before xen returns to hvm domain, it checks local_events_need_delivery to see whether any events pending and if yes, inject event by callback_irq into the virtual interrupt controller. However, the interesting point is, we never found any place, either in xen or in PV drivers, to clear evtchn_upcall_mask at any time. The initial

Anyone succeeds HVM on latest x86-64 xen
I tried latest xen and linux-xen staging tree, but failed to run HVM domain on x86-64 environment. domU creation is OK. However the weird thing is not HVM domain itself. Instead system crashed on dom0 context. I saw once with some stack dump that xen''s page fault handler is executed on a dom0''s stack which then causes nested page fault due to unable to fetch vcpu pointer.

[PATCH v2 0/4] XEN: fix vmx exception mistake
Changes from v1: - Define new struct hvm_trap to represent information of trap, include instruction length. - Renames hvm_inject_exception to hvm_inject_trap. Then define a couple of wrappers around that function for existing callers, so that their parameter lists actually *shrink*. This series of patches fix the mistake for debug exception(#DB), overflow exception(#OF) and INT3(#BP),

[PATCH v2 00/14] xen: arm: 64-bit guest support and domU FDT autogeneration
I''ve addressed all (I think/hope) of the review comments. The main change is to expose the guest virtual platform (e.g. memory layout and interrupt usage etc) to the toolstack via the public interface. This is then used during FDT generation. I have just codified the current defacto standard layout, it''s probably not the best layout but any change can be a separate patch/series.

Power aware credit scheduler
Existing credit scheduler is not power aware. To achieve better power saving ability with negligible performance impact, following areas may be tweaked and listed here for comments first. Goal is not to silly save power with sacrifice of performance, e.g. we don''t want to prevent migration when there''re free cpus with some pending runqueues. But when free computing power is
