It has been a few months coming, but we have finally released all our code
into the glory of LGPL open source. The open access subversion repository is
open and available for anonymous read access. If anyone wants to contribute
code, please contact me with what you want to add.

acts_as_threaded with pagination
Does anyone have the magic sql to get pagination working with
acts_as_threaded?
Return like:
1 - parent
 1.1 - response
  1.1.1 - response to response
 1.2 - response
2 - parent
 2.1 - response
etc... up to the first 20 or so.
It seems easy to get from a parent to all children, but to say get the first
20 parents and children is really hard for me to get my head around. I can
imagine getting

deployment survey
Hello Mongrels,
Building on the last messages about Fastthread, can we get a detailed
survey of the different ways people are deploying their applications?
It will help with near-future Mongrel development.
Please include the following things:
* Framework, if any (Camping, Merb, Rails, Nitro, Ramaze, IOWA, Rack...)
* Mongrel version
* Mongrel handlers used (rails, dirhandler, camping,

Linux, UNIX, XP32, Vista X64 or ...? [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]
Dear All,
I am currently using R in Windows PC with a 2 GB of RAM. Some pretty large
datasets are expected soon, perhaps in an order of several GB. I am facing a
similar situation like Ralph, either to get a new PC with a bigger RAM or
else. I am just wondering if R is getting faster in other systems like UNIX
or Linux. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Jin

RoR authentication with IBM Notes/Domino
This is a very simple authentication system for a Ruby on Rails server in
the same internet domain. It will allow you to get back the username of the
person hitting your server provided they already have authenticated with an
IBM Lotus/Domino or Websphere server that uses multi-server based session
authentication.
IBM Domino/Websphere authentication works by placing an encrypted cookie for

Instant Rails and your own applications
Hi,
I want to make an open source rails project as easy as possible to install.
Can I use Instant Rails for this? I treid to look at the FAQ but could not
see this was possible.
Ideally I would like to have Instant Rails install Ruby, Rails, MySql, etc
and then have it add my application and add the mysql user (could be just
root also) and then the sql for creating the tables.
Sound like fun

Trouble stubbing a method
Hey guys,
I''ll try to explain this without the model code at first, since there is so
much, but if need be, I''ll pastie it.
I have an Order model that makes API calls to a payment
gateway(TrustCommerce) during validation(to verify the credit card
information). I''d like to stub this behavior to avoid thousands of calls to
TrustCommerce a day(autotest).
All the calls

Problems using lwd in GDD
hi
I'm using the GDD package (in a 64bits fedora machine using R 2.3.0) to save
in a png file some plots and i noticed that changing the lwd parameter does
not change my line width
I tried the same script in a Windows based R (2.2.1 r36812), using no GDD,
and it worked.
Does anybody has a clue?
My testing script is something dumb like this:
library(GDD)
GDD("pres24.png",

Stubbing out required associated models
Hello,
As I''m becoming more and more familiar with mocking/stubbing, I''m going back
to some of my model specs and revaluating how I wrote them.
I have certain models in which validation requires the presence of an
associated model, which itself needs to be valid(validates_presence_of and
validates_associated).
When I wrote the specs, I wrote helpers for the attributes instead
