[PATCH] R ignores PATH_MAX and fails in long directories (PR#14228)
Full_Name: Murray Stokely
Version: 2.10.1
OS: Linux
Submission from: (NULL) (216.239.45.4)
The Defn.h header includes limits.h for PATH_MAX and then checks if it hasn't
been defined and if not sets something manually. Some of the R code uses
PATH_MAX but a lot of other functions in unix/sys-unix.c and main/startup.c just
hardcodes a limit of 256 characters.
In my environment this is not

Patch for pigeonhole 0.4.0 avoiding PATH_MAX
Hi,
I recently downloaded and built dovecot-2.2.2 and
dovecot-2.2-pigeonhole-0.4.0 on GNU/Linux and GNU/Hurd. The changes
needed will be sent to the Debian maintainer shortly. Latest Debian
release is 2.1.7-7 and dovecot-2.1-pigeonhole-0.3.1. When building
dovecot-2.2.2 there were no PATH_MAX problems on GNU/Hurd, thank you for
that. However, pigeonhole 0.4.0 had one remaining PATH_MAX construct.

[PATCH klibc 0/3] Changes to support initramfs-tools 0.117
initramfs-tools version 0.117 requires 'readlink -f' and
'mount -o defaults' to work.
The first two patches were previously submitted but not applied.

La_library() always returns "" on R-devel?
Seems like this in 83986 [1] needs a fix in Lapack.c:
if (dladdr((void *) F77_NAME(ilaver), &dl_info)) {
char buf[PATH_MAX+1];
char *res = realpath(dl_info.dli_fname, buf);
if (res) {
SEXP nfo = R_NilValue;
if (strstr(res, "flexiblas"))
nfo = R_flexiblas_info();

Bug in mkfs.btrfs?!
Hi,
I wanted to create a new btrfs fs for my backups.
When trying to mkfs.btrfs for that device, I''m getting
"error checking /dev/loop2 mount status"
With strace I see where the problem is:
lstat("/dev/disk/by-id/ata-INTEL_SSDSA2M160G2GC_CVPO939201JX160AGN-par",
0x7fffa30b3cf0) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)

[patch] overcoming PATH_MAX - very long paths with rsync - integration of liblongpath
I need to migrate data from a Linux box (PATH_MAX 4096) to Solaris with
(PATH_MAX 1024) and it so happens that not only do paths longer than 1K actually
exist, but also is the application in no way bound to 4K paths.
In an effort to find a generic solution to these issues, I have written
liblongpath. See https://code.uplex.de/liblongpath - there is a manpage (online

Does RSpec interfere with Pathname#dirname or Pathname#realpath ?
Hi,
I starting a new project, and have run into behavior I cannot

openssh bugs in snapshot for nextstep (fwd)
I was sent this from Mark Miller. Should we be using MAXPATHLEN
instead of PATH_MAX in the upstream tree? Not all systems define
PATH_MAX.

PVH questions
Hello,
I''ve had a look at PVH support, and I have a few questions:
- events are still dispatched the PV way through the callback, right?
- I guess FPU errors don''t trigger an INT13, so I don''t need to handle
that?
- How about the console and store MFNs from the boot info? Are they
still MFNs, or actually PFNs?
- How about PV network in non-copy mode? It used to be

[RFC] PVFB: Add refresh period to XenStore parameters?
Hello,
Sometimes the backend of PVFB knows that it doesn''t need permanent
refresh, when the window is minimized for instance (no refresh at all),
or the administration tools know that the window is thumnailed, and so a
slow refresh rate is fine. Also, some users may want to tune the
refresh rate according to the smoothness they would like, balanced with
the CPU time that requires.

[PATH] ioemu: use SIGHUP instead of SIGKILL
The stub domain device model needs to trap the termination signal so as
to actually destroy the stub domain. SIGKILL can''t be trapped, SIGTERM
is caught by SDL and so may be unnoticed. SIGHUP can be trapped and is
not caught by SDL (and by default causes a process termination without
core).

libxc/Makefile''s VPATH issue
Hello,
c/s 17138 introduced the use of VPATH instead of symlinks to access to
libelf files. However, that not only provides access to .c files, but
also to .o files. That means that if one compiles the hypervisor before
the tools, libxenguest.a contains .o files intended to the hypervisor,
containing references to printk, etc. and thus is unusable.
Is there a good reason against reverting to

I''m having a problem with my new Xen-enabled colocation server.. I hope ( at least ;) ) one of you guys know how to fix this problem..
For a certain amount of time ( 1-2 days ) the domU runs fine.. until the console starts spitting out messages like these:
