[PATCH] libxc xc_ptrace gcc 4 fix
Variable guest_va is declared as a long* . It takes values that are cast
as unsigned long* . GCC 4 picks up on this. This patch changes the
declaration of guest va to be an unsigned long* and fixes the problem.

Xen debugging question (x86-64)
Hey guys,
I have the x86-64 domU building code for libxc just about ready. It
totally gets through the library and creates the domain. But once it
does it reboots the machine (and no output to show what happened via the
serial console). What techniques would you guys use find out (excluding
excessive printks ....I''m doing that right now) what is going on in xen
and tracing back to the

[PATCH] Remove uses of "packed" attribute from acm.h so PPC Xen will build
The use of "packed" attribute is bad for PPC. PPC Xen build checks for
this and will not build if this is in the code.

Calculating real cpu usage of Xen domains correctly!
Hi all,
With the new vm-tools we are trying to get top like capabilities going
correctly. Currently we have a program vm-list that has some of this
capability but is dependent on the cpu time given by libxc calls
(xc_get_dom_info & xc_domain_get_cpu_usage). These two functions give
you how much time (in nanoseconds, why is this not documented) the
domain has been actively used. Approaches:

[PATCH] Add comments to libxc public header
This patch attempts to document libxc. I used doxygen style comments
although I''ve not tried to use doxygen to generate the comments. This
information was obtained from looking through the Xend source code and
Xfrd. I also tried to document how the Linux control ring works.

[PATCH] Rename libxc => libxenctl
I''m breaking the tidying up into parts. The first is renaming libxc =>
libxenctl. I''d like to rename tools/libxc to tools/libxenctl but I
thought it might be worth waiting until "flag day" so that we can avoid
losing revision history. Does that seem reasonable?
Rename libxc to libxenctl, xc.h to xenctl.h, and install xenctl.h to
/usr/include/xen/xenctl.h

回复: [help] Who's the author of libxc? I don't know howto start with it
Thanks.
I have already previewed the xenctrl.h.
The following is what I understand: libxc is compiled to a file name after 'xc**' endding with '.so', xend communicates with domain0 through xc and domain0 communicates with hypervisor through privcmd.
What's the privcmd?

RE: Build break -cc1: error: unrecognized option`-Wdeclaration-after-statement''
''-Wdeclaration-after-statement'' isn''t supported by gcc 3.3 which is what
I am
currently using. It was introduced into Config.mk in changeset
7973:c7508abc5b6b.
I backed out the changes and everything appears to be building okay.
