Gini coefficient in R
If I use the Ineq library and the Gini function in this way: >Gini(c(100,0,0,0)) I obtain the result 0.75 instead of 1 (that is the perfect inequality). I think Gini's formula in Ineq is based on a formula as reported here: http://mathworld.wolfram.com/GiniCoefficient.html but in the case of perfect inequality: x_1=.......=x_n-1 =0 x_n>0 these formula are equal to 1 - 1/n, not to

[PATCH 1/4] Btrfs: map the node block when looking for readahead targets
If we have particularly full nodes, we could call btrfs_node_blockptr up to 32 times, which is 32 pairs of kmap/kunmap, which _sucks_. So go ahead and map the extent buffer while we look for readahead targets. writing R extension
I'd like to develop a simple library in R in which to save my particular functions. I have read the manual on "Writing R Extensions" but it's too difficult. Someone could help me? I want only save my personal function (recorded in R-code, not in C) in "myLibrary" and I want to call it with: >library (myLibrary). After this, the functions should be available

[PATCH v3 0/6] mm/hmm/nouveau: add THP migration to migrate_vma_*
This series adds support for transparent huge page migration to migrate_vma_*() and adds nouveau SVM and HMM selftests as consumers. Earlier versions were posted previously [1] and [2]. The patches apply cleanly to the linux-mm 5.10.0-rc2 tree. There are a lot of other THP patches being posted. I don't think there are any semantic conflicts but there may be some merge conflicts depending on

[PATCH] linux/i386: allow CONFIG_HIGHPTE on i386 (take 2)
While, as discussed, the performance impact of this option is certainly higher than on native Linux, the option should not be entirely disallowed if people want to sacrifice performance for less lowmem pressure. This series adds support for transparent huge page migration to migrate_vma_*() and adds nouveau SVM and HMM selftests as consumers. An earlier version was posted previously [1]. This version now supports splitting a THP midway in the migration process which led to a number of changes. The patches apply cleanly to the current linux-mm tree.
