5.1-R-p2 crashes on SMP with AMI RAID and Intel 1000/Pro
Dear Sirs.
It seems to me a never ending story. We run a box with a TYAN Thunder
2500 Dual SMP mainboard, 2GB ECC Tyan certified memory, AMI Enterprise
1600 RAID adapter and additional Intel 1000/Pro server type (64 bit)
GBit LAN NIC. With FreeBSD 4.8 this was stable, but to achive this
state was really hard! It is a story similar to that what happend when
we changed towards FreeBSD

Some issues in recent ChangeSet.
We saw these issues in recent ChangeSet:
1. Reboot fail in Guest OS: Reboot in guest will close current qemu

2. 4 LTP math cases(float_bessel, float_exp_log, float_power and

Problem booting Dom0
Hi,
Thanks to everyone involved in the Xen project. I think it is great
and can''t wait to get my hands dirty with it. In the meantime, I
cannot boot Dom0 on an ibm x335 and I am not sure what the problem is.
Any insights are welcome.
Here is what my grub.conf file looks like:

Centos 5.1, mythtv, saa7134_dvb?
I'm trying to set up my Centos 5.1 box at home to run mythtv.
The DVB-T card requires saa7134 and saa7134_dvb.
These are not in the Centos kernels.
Centosplus has saa7134, but not saa7134_dvb.
Do I have to compile the kernel myself, or is there a trick?

2.6.30.1 dom0 Xen patches
I''ve been trying for several days to get a xen dom0 booting as
described on Boris Derzhavets blog.
I have been able to boot Jeremy Fitzhardinge''s pv_ops kernel under
xen, but my X server wouldn''t start so I''ve been trying to get Andrew
Lyon''s rebased opensuse patches to work.
I have asked for help in the freenode ##xen channel but they

I tried to install and boot a 2.6.7 Dom0 xenLinux Kernel on an

First of all I got a compilation error after activating the SMP option

xen and 64 bit host OSes
Hi,
I understand that 64-bit support for xen (from the
side of host OSes) will be a little late, so i have a
couple
of questions:
1) Can i install a x86 32-bit xen kernel on x86_64 pc,
without problems?
2)If i install a x86_64 xen kernel, can i run 32-bit
host OSes on it?
I know little about Xen, so i''d like to clear these
out.
Thanks

Testing Report for Xen 3.0.3 rc1
We have tested Xen for 3.0.3rc1.
The test includes Guest installation, device model, control panel, guest
os and basic function tests.
Here are issues found in our tests, For the first 6 issues, I think it''s
better to be fixed in 3.0.3:
1. Para-virtualization driver doen''t work for HVM guests
The hvm guest always hanged or met kernel panic when trying to load
xenbus.ko. So vbd

Re: W2K3 Server Installation fails with ACPI=1 on
Hi Stefan,
The problem is cause by the VBD/VNIF PCI device in DM checked in
changeset 11160: PCI Device ID: 5853(Xen),class:ff80 (unknown)
ACPI Window does not understand this device and can not find device
driver associate with it.
To verify this just revert the patches of changset 11161/11160
We are working on the fix now, revert patch is not the solution
anyway...
Thanks,
Winston

There is a 2-block memory leak in the sub() (or any other regex-related
function, probably) when the pattern argument involves a range

RE: W2K3 Server Installation fails with ACPI=1 on
Steven,
I found where the difference is, it may be my fault:
My changeset number + 1 = your changeset number.
My 11160 is your 11159, and my 11161 is your 11160.
Attached please see those patches,
Thanks,
Winston,

The "Sets" package and element equality test
Hi,
I tried to use the sets package yesterday, which seems to be a very powerful
package: thanks to the developers. I wanted to define sets of lists where 2
lists are considered equal if they have the same length.
So, I implemented:
match.2.list <- function(l1,l2){
length(l1)==length(l2)
}
and then defined my cset as:
s <- set(list(1,2),list(3,4))
lset <-

Hi Konrad,
I just tried linux-3.4-rc0 (linus his tree, last commit f52b69f86e27903d6896ed5fa7cd280fec8de532) with 3 additional branches from your tree pulled on top of that:

branch stable/for-jens-3.4
branch stable/for-jens-3.4-bugfixes
Hypervisor is xen-4.1.3-rc1-pre
linux 3.3 vanilla works fine
Booting dom0 goes fine, but

no console when using xl toolstack xen 4.1.2
Hello!
I was asking for help on the Freenode channel, and I was pointed here.
I have a situation where, using xl, I can create a functional PV domU, with or without pv-grub, but I cannot access the console. Firing up xend and using xm works without trouble. Since xend and company is being deprecated, I would like to transition to using the xl toolstack.
The system is an Arch Linux system

GSoC 2016 - Introduction
Hello,
Thanks James for the reply. That cleared a few things out. Apologies for
replying late because of exams going on.
I was going through the previous clustering API to understand how it worked
and it seems like the the approach for construction of the termlists which
are used for distance metrics use TF-IDF weighting with cosine similarity,
which is very similar to the approach I would need
