panic in e100_exec_cb()
With today''s build, my domain 0 crashes during boot when it tries to
bring eth0 up (it''s an E100).
cb->prev (eax) is NULL in e100_exec_cb() (e100.c:827). Just from code
inspection, I don''t see how this can be. e100_alloc_cbs() was just
called, which looks like it should have correctly linked up all the
cb->prev/cb->next pointers.
It happens regardless of

network_alloc_rx_buffers panic
Some users are hitting this panic in network_alloc_rx_buffers()
when running a big network intensive app:
/* Check return status of HYPERVISOR_dom_mem_op(). */
if ( rx_mcl[nr_pfns].args[5] != nr_pfns )
panic("Unable to reduce memory reservation\n");
I''m not clear on what is happening here. Are the domains changing size?
Which memory reservation is being

Memory oversubscription
Hi. First of all, thanks for Xen. It''s terrific!
I''m interested in doing memory oversubscription and am wondering if Xen
can do this (now or in the future).
For example, on a machine with 100MB available physical memory, can I:
1. Create a domain with a 90MB allocation
2. Inflate a balloon in that domain and return say 40MB back to Xen
I know there are mechanisms for doing

Submission from: (NULL) (217.233.100.207)
Hello R-gurus,
I have a little contribution to the wishlist:
Since (?) I am using the more recent ec-font-family with LaTeX instead of the
original cm-family, I did not manage to use this new feature about using (TeX's)
cm-fonts for PS-output. I got the following errors when trying to

Change in Shorewall Support
Folks,
I can''t keep this up. The demands that my job and my personal life are
currently placing on me are such that supporing Shorewall to the extent that
I have been doing is just not possible any more.
I will continue to be active on the development list and will continue to
develop Shorewall if at all possible.
I will also continue to read the user''s list and will help

Compiling R-devel under Windows
Hello there,
I have a habit of compiling R-patched and R-devel every few days.
Recently, I noticed the following problem:
I downloaded both versions with Revision: 40421, Last Changed Date:
2007-01-09. R-patched compiles with no problem. R-devel compiles fine but
when it starts to make PDF documentation it generates the following (tail
of the "make distribution" output):

VM Remote access options
Just to error test my own thinking here, there seems to be the following
options for remote graphical access to a running domian vm. Besides the
normal network service via a port and a raw console, the options are
straight X, VNC, and XN.
X - supports a single X window running on a local XServer, tied to a single
process on the remote system. No remote desktop
VNC - comes in two flavors of

Correct Computer Modern font in postscript(..) output
Hi,
I'm trying to get the correct font used when generating italic text in an R
grahic. I have a set of labels that print correctly except it seems the
italic text is justr a slanted version of the TeX computer modern normal
font... I'm using R v1.8.1 on Windows XP, and I get the same result if I
build the pdf using Adobe Acrobat or using MikTeX

MRTG Problem - no traffic recorded
Hi all,
I've just recently replaced my old firewall with a new one, running
CentOS 5..
Yesterday, I decided to get MRTG up and running again, so I entered
sections like this into the mrtg.conf file:
Title[vlan10]: Bandwidth usage on tenchi.4th-age.com (Internet)
PageTop[vlan10]: <H1>Traffic stats on VLAN 10 (Internet)</H1>

problem with minus signs when using postscript/pdf functions with ComputerModernItalic family
When I use the postscript with the ComputerModernItalic family, minus signs are not properly displayed, but are changed into capital gammas. The attached test-postscript.pdf file illustrates the problem, which I created starting with the following R code:
> postscript("test-postscript.eps", family = "ComputerModernItalic")
> plot(seq(-5,5,1),seq(-5,5,1))
> dev.off()

How to use fixed-width fonts such as courier in R
Hi,
I am trying to use Arial bold for labelling (font.lab =2), and use
the fixed-width Courier bold for axis. I will export the plot to .ps
format. I have been trying to use font.axis = 11, but that doesn't work
when I exported the plot to a .ps file.
I have been trying hard to read the help page of "postscript" these few
days, but didn't get the courier font yet. Can you

Hi
I am trying to convert SAS codes to R, but some of the result are quite
different from SAS.
When I ran proc mixed, I have an option ddfm=bw followed by the model. How
can I show this method in R?(I am thinking that this maybe the reason that I
can't get the similar results)
below is my SAS codes:

Is the server portion of freebsd-update open source?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
I'm wondering if/where I can get the server side component for
freebsd-update. Presumably such a component would build and sign the
binary patches and prepare them to be served via HTTP to the
freebsd-update client.
I need a system for distributing binary updates to a collection of
customized FreeBSD machines, jails, and embedded systems.

Is aggregate() what I need here?
I'm pretty new to R, and I've been given a script by a user who wants
some help with it. I know enough about the way R works to know that
this is a very inefficient way to do what the user wants (the
LSB_JOBINDEX stuff is added by me so that this can work on many
hundreds of input data files as LSF jobs - it's the nested loops I'm
really interested in):
