Well, I don't know about yuuuge security risk (not saying there isn't
any...), but if this concerns you, you can also use LTMP instead, which
is probably a better solution here.

Advanced Routing and Secondary ip address in eth0
Hello,
I have configured advanced routing with success using three (03)
network adapters ( ETH0, ETH1 and ETH2).
Now I have to configure an addittion range in the same Interface
ETH0 ( another internet ip range address ), so I would like to have TWO
different ranges at the same ETHERNET CARD ( in this case ETH0 ) AND
having advanced routing running it.
I Did the same

uid problem
hi,
contacting this mailing list is my last-ditch effort to somehow come to
a working configuration where postfix "ends in" dovecot, IE for special
LDAP-based users, featured in the virtual mailbox delivery, dovecot
would act as LDA.
here's the deal.
i've set up dovecot's access to the LDAP server, and for the purposes of
being an IMAP server and a SASL auth backend,

The best way to protect against starvation?
Hello,
If an ordinary user runs:
-- snip --
cat > starv.c <<EOF
main(){ char *point; while(1) { point = ( char * ) malloc(10000); }}
EOF
cc starv.c
while true
do
./a.out &
done
-- snip --
This will fast starv the operating system (FreeBSD 6.2). I have tried to
limit the number of processes and the amount of memmory consumed (in
login.conf).
There is also a file /etc/malloc.conf

doubt about Load Balancing
Hello
In the LARCT how-to subitem: 4.2.2. Load balancing the following phrase
says:
"" Instead of choosing one of the two providers as your default route, you
now set up the default route to be a multipath route. In the default kernel
this will balance routes over the two providers. It is done as follows (once
more building on the example in the section on split-access):

R1.8.0 and virtual PC (PR#4708)
Dear Sir/Madam
First, I should tell that I'm using virtual PC "w2k" in a mac osx 10.2.
The problem: I recently downloaded the windows version 1.8.0. I found
the following problem with the instruction plot.
E.g., if I type the following instructions, I got the following error
message:

> y = 2*x

Re: Digium TE407P vs. Sangoma A104d
Hi,
Recommending to go Digium because of an OpenBSD issue with the
Sangoma A104D is quite funny to say the least since neither
is the TE407P supported in BSD by Digium. So the recommendation is
useless to the person who originally requested for a comparison
between the two products.
If someone wanted to send back the A104D, he could have taken
advantage of Sangoma's 30 day money back

cox goodness of fit
Is there an implementation of the Cox-Snell residuals / Nelson-Aalen plot
for goodness of fit?
Or otherwise is there an appropriate Goodness of Fit diagnostic?
Thanks

LMTP error, mysterious
you mean i should define another, "fallback" userdb service if prefetch
doesn't work for some reason?
is it the problem that it's a chicken and egg scenario and with LMTP
address verification (from postfix) there is no login beforehand so then
dovecot needs to consult the userdb once again and having no fallback
mechanism, it gives up? i can understand that, but then it

looking for reference that covers convergence in distribution
I am looking for a good probability book that describes convergence in
distribution. I have looked through Introduction to Probability by
Charles M. Grinstead, J. Laurie Snell, but I don't find any formal
description on convergence in distribution. Could somebody recommend a
good book that cover this topic? Thank you!

Danish callerid on a x100p card
Hi
I've got a cheap card from x100p.com for my pots line. I haven't found a
definate answer if it is possible to get danish(DTMF without signaling
before it). I have had a look at bug #9 but that is
written longtime ago.
I am running zaptel 1.4.7 and asterisk 1.4.14 BRIstuffed 0.4.0-test4 both
from the xorcom debian packages. I believe they should contain some kind
functionality for DTMF
