AnonCVS
Hi All, I would like to use anonymous cvs, but it appears not to be working (again?). There was a discussion back in Jan-Feb about whether to continue supporting it, but it seemed that Tony Rossini got it working and the discussion left off there. Did someone decide to disable it, or is it just not working properly? Here's the details: $ cvs -d

anoncvs
I'm trying to do cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs@cvs.r-project.org:/home/rcvs/src login and I get "authorization failed...rejected access" with the previously advertised password (anoncvs). Has the access been changed or is anyone else having this problem? I'm not very familiar with cvs so I may be making some mistake. Paul Gilbert

Am I an idiot?
Hey everyone, What am I doing wrong? I loaded the MASS package with library(MASS), and now when I type library() I get > library() Packages in library `F:\r\rw0651/library': MASS Main Library of Venables and Ripley's MASS base The R base package . . . That's fine. The problem is that when I try to use a function that I know is built

Java Bindings
I've created a set of java bindings for the newest libshout 2.0 release. They work well and enable the streaming of mp3 and ogg/vorbis to icecast2 servers from java. Binding with java allows for complex java logic while using the fast, maintained and solid native backend. They can be fetched from CVS via: cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs@benow.ca:/cvs/benow login <passwd:

Also I assume: cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs@xiph.org:/usr/local/cvsroot -z 9 co icecast is the icecast2 server? Thanks for your help. Maybe I need something installed

CVS changes
To all CVS users of ices 0.x: I've just merged the ices-libshout_2 branch onto HEAD. Anyone using that branch should switch back to HEAD to continue to get the latest updates. This also means you now need the latest version of libshout2 from CVS in order to build ices from CVS. libshout2: :pserver:anoncvs@cvs.xiph.org:/usr/local/cvsroot libshout ices:

Mathematical niceties
I'd like to make axis titles, chart titles, legends and the like mathematically nice (e.g., have proper superscripts and subscripts, variables in italics, and so on). Ideally, one could go into ``math mode" a la LaTeX, and write something like plot(blah, xlab="Methane in $\mbox{cm}^3$ / g", blah). This is just an ideal, but it would be nice. Is some approximation of this
