no dentry for non-root inode
hi! One of our user removed a directory through samba and right after that recreated it. It looks like this now: ?????????? ? ? ? ? ? 20110817 Gluster version is 3.2.2-1ubuntu~ppa1~lucid1 on client (samba server) and the same but Natty on the nodes. It was upgraded from 3.2.1. What is this? If a client try to access it, it freezes up. This is in log: [2011-08-17

Failed rebalance - lost files, inaccessible files, permission issues
I'm starting a new thread on this, because I have more concrete information than I did the first time around. The full rebalance log from the machine where I started the rebalance can be found at the following link. It is slightly redacted - one search/replace was made to replace an identifying word with REDACTED. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/97770508/mdfs-rebalance-redacted.zip

Directory metadata inconsistencies and missing output ("mismatched layout" and "no dentry for inode" error)
Hi I'm running into a rather strange and frustrating bug and wondering if anyone on the mailing list might have some insight about what might be causing it. I'm running a cluster of two dozen nodes, where the processing nodes are also the gluster bricks (using the SLURM resource manager). Each node has the glusters mounted natively (not NFS). All nodes are using v3.2.7. Each job in the

confusion about contexts - SER
Guess I got where your confusiion lies.... you DON'T set up the ALL contexts the users will have acces to in sip.conf, in this file you will only set 1 single context. All other contexts you want the users to have acces to, you will have to add them in the extensions.conf So what you have to do is the following: -user 2092, set it the createmenu context in sip .conf - in extensions.conf

On a side note, try recently released health report tool, and see if it does diagnose any issues in setup. Currently you may have to run it in all the three machines. [PATCH 0/9] tools: remove or disable old/useless/unused/unmainted stuff
depends on "autoconf: regenerate configure scripts with 4.4 version" This series removes some of the really old deadwood from the tools build and makes some other things which are on their way out configurable at build time with a default depending on how far down the slope I judge them to be. * nuke in tree copy of libaio * nuke obsolete tools: xsview, miniterm, lomount & sv *
