Extending Rails classes
Whereabouts would I want to put a Ruby file that extends a Rails class? Say, adding a method to ActiveRecord::Base or something along those lines. I''ve read that those classes go in /lib, but my application doesn''t seem to see the changes I''ve made. Obviously I''m missing something... Any suggestions would be appreciated! -Brasten

miro from rpmforge appears to have dep solving issues
Hi folks, Anyone know the whereabouts of libgtkembedmoz.so()(64bit) as it is needed by miro-1.0-1.el5.rf.x86_64 (rpmforge) I tried a whatprovides and have looked at epel as well as rpmforge - no luck. While I'm asking, I'm looking for an internet HD TV viewer - miro looked interesting - any other products you know of? TIA Rob -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment

In principle a good idea, but I'm not sure the whereabouts of Catherine Loader are known at this point. Last peeps from her on the net seem to be about a decade old. .pd > On 18 May 2020, at 10:31 , Abby Spurdle <spurdle.a at gmail.com> wrote: > > This has come up before. > > Here's the last time: > https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-devel/2019-March/077478.html

CentOS Based Infromational Document
For those of you who are either part of the secret cabal, or are otherwise keeping track of it, there is a new version available. The current version of the cryptex is version 3.1. It's changed rather significantly in some areas.

library manual: documentation of funcs not alphabetically ordered
Hello everybody I'm putting finishing touches to a library, and have noticed that the .dvi file that R CMD check creates does not sort the functions in alphabetical order. I find this odd because I used the "tidy" routines in section 3.1 of the R-exts manual, which produce R code in which the functions are alphabetically ordered (and I performed R CMD check using the

Sort output of dovecot -n alphabetically?
Is there a way? Postfix does this by default, and it makes it much less likely to miss/overlook a setting... If there is no way, any chance to modify it so that it does? Thanks for dovecot! Really looking forward to 1.1 release! -- Best regards, Charles

sorting matrix output alphabetically
Hello, I have been using the TM package to create a TermDocMatrix, which I have saved as a matrix so that I can view word frequencies. Below is a section of the code that I have used and an excerpt of the output: What I wanted to be able to do is to view the output alphabetically - rather than the results being sorted by frequency as below, that an alphabetical list would be generated. How to order some of my columns (not rows) alphabetically
Hello, I have a dataframe with 9 columns, and I would like to sort (order) the right-most eight of them alphabetiaclly, i.e.: ID1 ID2 F G A B C E D would become ID1 ID2 A B C D E F G Right now, I'm using this code: attach(data) data<-data.frame(ID1,ID2,data[,sort(colnames(data)[3:9])]) detach(data) but that's not very elegant. Ideally I could specify which columns to sort and

(4 a's, 4 b's, 4 c's in no particular order) Like this: # c 32 a 1 b 4 c 87 c 34 b 54 a 23 a 12 b 9 a 3 b 87 c 43 There are a couple of more columns but I'm using the above as an example I need to sort it so that the same rownames appear together in alpahbetical order. Both Xen and VirtualBox On the Same Physical Host?
Hi all, I have a Sun x2200 named Adra running OpenSolaris 2008.11 set up as a Dom0 per Levon''s instructions on this site. It hosts some production services and has been running nice and stable for a number of months now (with NetWare DomUs running GroupWise, believe it or not). The machine is pretty nicely speced out and there''s room for more virtualisation, so I was

Setting caller ID on outgoing calls.
Excuse me if I recently posted on this, but I cannot find it, in my, or the list archives. Is it possible, when transferring a call, to set the user ID to that of the "outgoing number" instead of the incoming number? I believe the answer is (was) yes. New twist, does it matter what the destination "media" is? Meaning, the call would be coming in on a T1, going out on a T1,
