GE EP series UPS
Hi,
I just got two new UPS's - GE EP6000R. These have both RS232 and USB
connection.
As far as I could detect these are not supported by NUT. However, they
provide some Linux software and as long as these UPS's are not in
production (another week or so) I could 'play' with them to try to get
some protocol information.
Though I would need some pointers on how to do it... Mind you

wbinfo -u and -g work, wbinfo -s works only for some users
Got a problem after upgrading Samba from 3.0 to 3.5 - have a bunch of
users and groups in LDAP and things work for the most part.
However, when people try to change permissions from within Windows, some
usernames or groupnames are shown properly, but other are not - they see
the SID.
Following up I noticed, that I can get a list of all users with 'wbinfo
-u' and that I can get a SID for

Patch to support GE EP series
Hi,
recently I got a GE EP6000R UPS. At first I feared it's not supported at
all, but after digging in I found out that it's supported by the
'blazer' driver.
The UPS has both RS232 and USB connection. To use the RS232 connection,
I had to use the 'cablepower = none' as the UPS is using only RX, TX and
GND pins.
So my 'usp.conf' was a bit like that:

Duplicating of HOMES share
I'm having an odd example of shared list. When I look at local network and
workgroup under Windows 95 or 98 I see users personal directory and common
share. But when i look at workgroup on Windows 2000 i see duplicated shares.
Once as "HOMES" share an once as "USERNAME" share. Can i somehow change this
? My smb.conf file is enclosed.

DUNDi .... Halfway
Well, I've been dicking around with DUNDi for about 4 hours now. I have two systems that I am trying to get to peer with each other. Queries are working one way, but not the other. The server, pbx1, that is refusing to deliver any queries and logs what's below to the console. Why??? I've checked all the config files more times than I can remember. The 'RFC' for DUNDi at

64 bit filesystems (Specifically Irix 6.2)
Following the posting by spd@gtc1.cps.unizar.es (J.A. Gutierrez) in
SAMBA digest 1482
I compiled samba-1.9.17p4 under Irix 6.2 using the -fullwarn flag.
There are around
2000 lines of warnings and messages - quite a few are due to 64 bit file
systems but
there are unused variables, missing prototypes, etc as well.
For example:
mode_t != int
elements of struct statvfs are unsigned long, rather

Relevance, weighting and searching by specifically weighted text
Hi guys
In our implementation of Xapian for one of our sites, we index the
title, subtitle, summary and table of contents of around 200,000
products on ReportBuyer.com. When we create each Xapian doc to index
this information, we apply a weighting to each of these 'fields' and add
these to the doc using index_text with the second parameter passing in a
weighting.
I've been asked if

[LLVMdev] Current status of ARM backend (system-level support specifically) on LLVM?
Hello all,
We just started to look at how we could use LLVM to secure ARM-based mobile
system from malware like overriding pointers to system functions and causing
memory overflow. I'm wondering how the current ARM backend work on the
current LLVM release. Does it have any support for ARM system-level
instructions to change the page tables or switching tasks? I appreciate your
help and

[LLVMdev] Current status of ARM backend (system-level support specifically) on LLVM?
Thanks, Eli. Also, I wonder specifically if the structure alignment and code
padding in the system code works with ARM backend without any problem, so
LLVM behaves the same as gcc.
