Possible bug involving LDA and Namespaces
Hi All,
Yesterday I began experimenting with using LDA to do delivery. To begin
with I'm using a .forward file entry for myself so as to avoid affecting
other users. When "deliver" is passed an item to deliver, the following
is logged:

Supermicro SAS/SATA controllers?
The standard controller that has been recommended in the past is the
AOC-SAT2-MV8 - an 8 port with a marvel chipset. There have been several
mentions of LSI based controllers on the mailing lists and I''m wondering
about them.
One obvious difference is that the Marvel contoller is PCI-X and the LSI
controllers are PCI-E.
Supermicro have several LSI controllers. AOC-USASLP-L8i with the

How many RAM Speex need??
I use Speex on a C5509A DSP, which has 256k bytes of RAM for code and data.
Speex fits very comfortably in less than half of this memory. However, I do
not have room for the echo canceller code in my overall application. In
your case, with the large Flash, the code space should not be a problem.
However, I believe that you will need wait states to run from Flash, so
performance could be an

Dovecot performance on GFS clustered filesystem
Hello All,
We are using Dovecot 1.1.3 to serve IMAP on a pair of clustered Postfix
servers which share a fiber array via the GFS clustered filesystem.
This all works very well for the most part, with the exception that
certain operations are so inefficient on GFS that they generate
significant I/O load and hurt performance. We are using the Maildir
format on disk. We're also using

Case problems w/[homes]
Hey everybody!
I have a small problem with my samba setup, running on a sparc ultra1
serving NT4/sp3 clients. I am using the most recent release and
everything is working perfectly in terms of authentication with my NT
box set up as the password server. The only problem is as follows:
It is important for us to preserve case, so for all of the services, I
have "preserve case = yes".

Fully supported 12-port SATA cards?
I am helping a friend who is build a storage server for his company
and I have advocated for Solaris and ZFS.
But now we are having trouble to find any good SATA controller for
12+ disks, there are Areca cards, but they seems very flaky (24 port
support, but hangs with more than 12 in JBOD mode, hangs on disk
failures etc).
The AOC-SAT2-MV8,AOC-USAS-L8i have been mentioned, but it had

Driver for Ultra UPS BNT-1000AP
Hi I purchased an Ultra 1000VA UPS
(http://www.ultraproducts.com/product_details.php?cPath=35&pPath=154&productID=154)
I am trying to use nut with it (I am using gentoo
linux) but can't find the proper driver. The numbers
on the back suggest it might be similar to Black
Knight Pro BNT-1000AP from Powercom
(http://www.powercom-usa.com/ProductDetail.asp?ID=8974).
So I tried the powercom

forcing the driver to issue a different command on shutdown
It seems that the UPS I wrote in my previous mail uses the Megatec
protocol, but does not support the S<n>R<m> "Shut Down and Restore"
Command. This means that the server will shut down cleanly, but it will
not boot automatically when the utility power comes back. There is
another shutdown command according to the protocol description, although
I do not really understand the

Raidz2 slow read speed (under 5MB/s)
Hello all,
I''m building a file server (or just a storage that I intend to access by Workgroup from primarily Windows machines) using zfs raidz2 and openindiana 148. I will be using this to stream blu-ray movies and other media, so I will be happy if I get just 20MB/s reads, which seems like a pretty low standard considering some people are getting 100+. This is my first time with OI, and

NEC 1300A DVD-R writing
Hi,
so I just bought a NEC 1300A, primarily, because it allows me to write DVD+
and -RW. Using DVD-R discs (and currently no options to try other media, due
to shops being closed), I'm unable to write anything, using either the
dvd+rwtools port, or the dvdrtools.
I've exhausted all references to be found in google, which are in a language I
understand, so I'm hoping the list can

nutdrv_qx does not support UPS, blazer_ups does
Hello All,
I tested our new UPS yesterday. I noticed that while the blazer_ups
drivers support this device, the newer nutdrv_qx does not. I suppose
that this should not be the case, as nutdrv_qx will replace blazer_ups(?).
Versions:
I installed Nut on Ubuntu 13.10 (64 bit) from the standard package
(2.6.4-2.3ubuntu2), and I also installed from the source tarball
(2.7.1), into a different

leaving ports open for tftp
hey guys,
I have a really silly question for you! I just built a cobbler server that I am using to bare metal some boxes. But I am a bit n00b and need to figure out which ports to open in iptables.
Here's a start:
xinetd 2031 root 8u IPv4 94306 UDP *:tftp
in.tftpd 9203 root cwd DIR 253,0 4096 588097 /tftpboot
