Failed to setup NAT
I''m using Xen 4.1 and here''s what I did: 1.comment network-script and vif-script about bridge in /etc/xen/xend-config.sxp, uncomment the lines about nat 2.set vm config, add something like vif = [ ''mac=00:16:3e:00:00:11, ip=10.0.0.1'' ] 3.set /etc/network/interfaces in domU, add lines as follows: auto eth0 iface eth0 inet static address 10.0.0.1 gateway

Bug#702428: HVM networking tap/vif bug (Debian bug 702428)
Hi, I've been testing the Debian packages ahead of the Debian 7 release (which is very imminent) I believe this is a serious bug[1] in the package, as it appears that HVM networking is broken, or at the very least, requires some undocumented configuration step Specifically: - I can start the HVM domU without any vif - if I attach a vif, the domU will not start Looking at

Bug#702428: raising to serious
My impression of this bug is that HVM networking is not possible with XCP, or at least it is not possible without some undocumented configuration setting or missing dependency package If there is a workaround from upstream, I would propose lowering the severity to important again. I am happy to test any proposed work around and provide quick feedback. The log output in my previous post suggests

I''ve looked everywhere for the error message I''ve posted in the title, doesn''t seem like anyone else has it (lots of missing hotplugs scripts). We''re using network-nat. ifconfig -a outputs this: eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:19:99:a8:f4:5c inet addr:X.X.X.X Bcast:X.X.X.X Mask:255.255.255.255 inet6 addr: X::X:X:X:X/64 Scope:Link

Arp problem with network bridging and VLANs
I''m attempting to put together a Xen box, which has multiple VLANs running into it, on one bridged interface. I mostly copied the way it was done here: http://renial.net/weblog/2007/02/27/xen-vlan/ I basically have: bond0 is the bond device (composed of eth0 and eth1), vlan757 is the vlan device for vlan 757 on bond0, and "xen757" is a bridge created by the above scripts,

help--dom0 network goes unpingable when xend starts
I installed 64-bit xen 3.1.0 (from xensource.com tarballs) on three new machines today, using a configuration setup that I''ve used successfully many times before. However, I encountered a new problem. These are Dell Poweredge 1950 servers, by the way. >From lspci 04:00.0 Ethernet controller: Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme II BCM5708 Gigabit Ethernet (rev 12) 08:00.0 Ethernet

domU NAT network cannot connect

Xen 3.0 Xend loses network - eth0 -> veth0?
Hi list. I started with Xen yesterday, but I am facing a bit of a problem. My system had always configure eth0 with 10.0.0.4/8 I am using Xen unstable source (on Debian sid) Now I installed Xen, rebooted the machine, and first the usual network is coming up and then the xend will be started. I''ll end up with this, but I am wondering if this should be the way of things to be

SSH ping etc not working between dom0 and domU''s
Hi! I have a problem with my new Xen setup. I have installed Debian etch with netinstall and I''m using 2.6.18-6-xen-amd64 kernel in my dom0 and 3.0.3-0-4 version xen hypervisor. I''m using four network cards on my system and using three of them as xen bridges and dom0 is using the fourth one only for it''s own. So basicly both of my virtual servers use a network card

NAT: pings/DNS works but not the rest
Hello everybody, I''m new to Xen so forgive me if this is already well known issue. I''m using Ubuntu server 7.04 (feisty) with Xen 3.0.3 Everything works perfectly, apart from networking in NAT mode. With bridging it works, with NAT it works, well, quite strange. Namely, pings go through and name resolution works. But when I try to use anything substantial, then

Network inoperable with QEMU arm example image
I am running Fedora 16 64bit and installed libvirt. I have the VM running with arm emulation with this one issue I can't figure out. I used Virtual Machine Manager to manage the VM and can access its console there. The Ethernet appears to be eth1 and the guest can set an IP on it etc. However, I cannot see any traffic from the Host when dumping any of the interfaces. I've tried
