IvyGIS --- Rails Engine for custom maps.
Hi. I''m announcing a Rails Engine for presenting maps based on your own data, either rendered by Mapserver, or pulled directly out of geometric database tables stored by PostGIS. There''s a demo here: http://ivygis.mgxkernel.com:3000/canada which shows a tiled, draggable version of a Mapserver demo map, with mouse-sensitive park polygons and railroads (SVG in Firefox 1.5+,

Bug#508139: HVM guests can't be used because there is no /usr/lib/xen folder
Package: xen-utils-3.2-1 Version: 3.2.1-2 Severity: grave I tried to start an HVM guest to setup Windows 2003 64 bits entreprise R2, and I spent a long time figuring out that there is no /usr/lib/xen folder by default, and this is where Xen is searching for it's file when using HVM, VNC and all. Doing a simple symlink with ln -s /usr/lib/xen-3.2.1 /usr/lib/xen made it working, if it's not

[LLVMdev] Debug Info and MergeFunctions Transform
Hi David, After merging we always remove body of "G" (function we want to merge with "existing" one). In case with "writeThunk" we could add such info for "G", but it would be just a single string: reference to first string of "G". Ideal way here, is to merge debug information itself, and provide "F" with information for "G"

Bug#554805: xen-utils-3.2-1: ioemu routed networking on HVM guests fails
Package: xen-utils-3.2-1 Version: 3.2.1-2 Severity: normal Under this Xen setup, (Linux) HVM guests fail to have network active when running with *routed* networking, as some hosting providers require (in my case, OVH). In this scenario: * the host is a described below * the guest runs as HVM. * the guest runs exclusively with ioemu; virtual network drivers are not available (vanilla lenny

[HVM] Fix interrupt routing
If HVM guest Fedora 7 uses PIT and lapic timer, it can''t boot or install. The cause is: At some point, Fedora 7 disables PIT interrupt by "vioapic.redirtbl[2].mask = 1, vpic.imr.bit0 = 0 (unmasked), vlapic.lvt[LINT0].mask = 1", and enables vlapic timer interrupt generating; In vmx_intr_assist() -> pt_update_irq(), we always choose IRQ0 rather than vlapic timer interrupt,

Interrupt rates and voip traffic
Hi, This is slightly off topic, but here I go any way... VoIP traffic has lot's of smaller packets, and since each packet can generate an interrupt, is there any way to determine the irq rates in a machine, and more importantly to know if I am hitting any of the limits in Linux or to determine how much interrupts per second can my box handle ? There seems to absolutely no information about

[LLVMdev] Debug Info and MergeFunctions Transform
Hi Stepan, After discovering several bugs in ArgumentPromotion and DeadArgumentElimination where llvm::Functions were replaced with similar functions (with the same name) to transform their type in some way, I started looking at all calls to llvm::Function::takeName to see if there were any other debug info quality bugs in similar callers. One such caller is MergeFunctions, and I don't see

[PATCH 03/10] xen: move interrupt handling for pv guests under CONFIG_XEN_PV umbrella
There is no need to include pv-guest only object files in a kernel not configured to support those. Move Xen's irq.o, xen-asm*.o and pv parts of entry_*.o into CONFIG_XEN_PV sections. Preventing hotplug devices in HVM guests
Hi there, Is there a way to prevent Windows HVM guests from seeing passed through devices like graphics cards as being ejectable? i.e. you pass through a graphics adapter to an HVM guest which happens to be Windows. Windows sees this as a device with hotplug capability. Therefore it shows up in "safely remove hardware" option in the windows system tray. VMWare provides an option to

[RFI]Is NAT broken with Linux HVM guests?
Hi All, I tried a usual NAT setup with a Linux HVM guest. Looks straight forward approach. Unfortunately I cannot ping even domain0''s eth0 interface. Xen assigns an IP address for me to vif1.0, where 1 is the domid of my HVM guest i.e 10.0.1.128(changes are per vmid and domid). I manually attached ip address 10.0.1.2 to eth0 in HVM domainU and add default gateway to be 10.0.1.128.

localtime=1 broken on HVM guests
I have confirmed that the localtime option in guest config is broken in Xen 3.1.3-rc2. No matter what the setting, UTC is always given to the guest. I have tried putting the HC in UTC and in Localtime, it makes no difference. Aside from setting the system clock to the wrong time (or defining an offset in guest config), it is impossible to send localtime to the guest. Is there anyone who
