Hello to all: Recently upgraded from CentOS 6.0 to 6.2 to get USB passthrough support by performing "yum update". Failing to add XP SP3 client to Samba domain
Hi, I'm running samba 3.2.5 as a domain controller on a Debian Lenny server with authentication data stored in a local openldap instance. The server has been running smoothly since I originally set it up on Sarge. I upgraded to Etch a while back and then to Lenny about a month ago. I'm trying to add a new Windows XP SP3 client to the domain for the first time since the latest upgrade

Fedora 25 Samba and XP-SP3
Yes, I know, XP-SP3 is very old. It works for what I need it for. I have some programs that will never be updated for Win 7. Note that XP-SP3 and Fedora 14 work together just fine, so I'm guessing that a newer version of Samba is what is keeping me from logging in from XP. But, I do not know what to put in the smb.conf file to allow XP to mount a share. Here is the output from testparm:

Hi, We have SAMBA 3.0.33 running on RedHat 5. We are sharing home directories to users via Samba using the [homes] share. The home directories reside on a Netapp filer, (actually multiple), and are accessed by the Samba server over NFS. When users try to open a Microsoft Excel file from a Windows XP SP3

In spite of this blindness it can map to all the XP machines and define so-called network places. But "misty" cannot map through the SAMBA protocal used by the Linux machines to make
