Libvirt Error Creating VMs for Nimbus Cloud
Hello,
I am having an issue with libvirt in my Nimbus cloud setup. When I use the
Nimbus VM creation test scripts on a VMM node (using libvirt), the VM is
created without a problem. However, when I attempt to create a new VM using
Nimbus (which then tries to create the VM on the VMM node), I encounter the
following error:

Fwd: Re: Encrypt /decrypta file with ssh keys.
As per Alex's suggestion, attached is the proof of concept "sfile"
script. If there is anyone out there with great C skills who can
recreate this functionality "out of the box", I think there would be a
few happy campers (at least two, anyways).

Max thin client sessions/gdm limit?
Greetings,
I've been subscribed to this list for some time and I'd like to start off by
thanking everyone who helps out on it. This is my first post to it, so please
be gentle :-)
I have several offices set up with RedHat and CentOS terminal servers. We are
using CentOS 4.6 and RedHat 4.6 on them, GDM for the display manager, and PXES

Problems dialing out with T100P and Adtran
I have a T100P card connected to an Adtran and then a T1.
I have added the following configurations to Asterisk...but, when I dial
9 and then a local phone number, it bounces between the dial tone and
silence and the *error* light on the Adtran blinks.
zaptel.conf
span=1,0,0,esf,b8zs
fxsks=1-8
loadzone=us
defaultzone=us
zapata.conf
[channels]
context=from-sip
signalling=fxs_ks

New office hardware set up question.
Pardon the newb question and all, but this is my first real experience
with phone systems, let alone VoIP and Asterisk.
I'm building an office space for a former employer and we are
considering Asterisk as the phone system there. But, I've never set up
an Asterisk system before so I've got a couple of questions about the
required hardware.
The network architecture is pretty

If you run Archlinux...
I remember a thread a while back asking about Linux distro's of choice.
My flavor is Archlinux. But, I found a tiny discrepancy with Arch and
Asterisk's install. Arch uses *mawk* for it's awk compiler,
unfortunately...Asterisk doesn't seem to pick up on it. So, I installed
*gawk* as well...and the install went smoothly after that.
Just a heads up if you choose Archlinux

Help with a fax via Grandstream Handytone 286?
I have an analog Fax machine which I wish to connect to the network and
the Asterisk server. It will connect through a GS Handytone 286
converter and then into the LAN. Is there any information out there on
what I need to write in *sip.conf* and/or *extensions.conf* to make sure
the fax works as a fax?
Channel 8 on my T1 is a reserved, dedicated line for the fax number. Do

Problems with T100P card not releasing channels.
I don't know what I am missing in my conf files, but my T1 card grabs
all available channels and won't let go of them? Anyone know what the
problem is?

RFC: Kerning, postscript() and pdf()
Ei-ji Nakama has pointed out (from another Japanese user, I believe) that
postscript() and pdf() have not been handling kerning correctly, and this
is a request for opinions about how we should correct it.
Kerning is the adjustment of the spacing between letters from their
natural width, so that for example 'Yo' is usually typeset with the o
closer to the Y than 'Yl' would be.

Linux apps from inside Wine (was:Re: Problems with Lotus Notes R5.0.12 under Wine 20050524)
Hi Andreas,
I saw someone (Mike or Joachim, I think) at the list saying you
have to shutdown the wineserver. It will overwrite the system.reg as soon
it goes down. So before you make the changes be sure there is none wine*
process running.
Hope this helps. If not, write us again and we'll help you

.rsync-/.rsync+ patch and --link-dest example
This is a patch to add an --rsync-exclude option to rsync-2.5.6cvs.
File names in .rsync- (or .rsync+) are excluded (or included) from the file
lists associated with the current directory and all of its subdirectories.
This has advantages over --cvs-exclude for backing up large file systems
since the .cvsignore files only apply to the current directory:
unless the .cvsignore restrictions apply

RPC / OLE errors (?) causing app to fail
Hi there,
Our company uses a server monitoring product called NimBUS, and at one point I was able to use the client very nicely with Wine. That was 0.9.37, and from 0.9.38 onwards a critical part at the startup fails, at the part where it tries to connect to the monitoring hub server.
Nimsoft do provide a trial version, on request, but that's probably a nightmare, so I'm happy to do
