c6, LSI megaraid drive failure notification
i'm configuring a storage server with CentOS 6.2, it uses a LSI MegaRAID SAS controller, I'm using LSI's megacli to configure the storage... Any ideas on how to get drive failure notifications out of this system? I'm configuring hot spares but I'd still like some sort of notification when a drive has failed so the spare can be replaced. -- john r pierce

SuperMicro with LSI MegaRaid with Centos 6.0
Everyone, I am trying to install a Centos 6.0 system on a SuperMicro with an LSI MegaRaid SCSI 320-2 controller. I had originally tried to install 6.4, but the 6.4 install DVD does not boot with this configuration. See : http://bugs.centos.org/view.php?id=5377 Fortunately, the 6.0 install DVD worked fine until it failed to identify the hard disc controller. I checked the lsi.com site which

megaraid sas driver failing in Xen-3.4 unstable version
On Xen-3.4 (unstable version), I have created CentOS HVM guest & WS2K8 HVM guest and dedicated MegaRAID SAS controller but I am not able to see the disk which is connected to MegaRAID SAS controller when I do fdisk -l (vtd support is enabled in Xen). Looks like the pci device(MegaRAID SAS controller) is getting dedicated successfully as I can see the device in the list of pci devices shown by

Dell Poweredge 4300 + PARC 2 (Megaraid) Centos 4
After 4 days of agrevation I felt it was best I post to the list before I break something or hurt myself. It seems that 2.6 from other posts seemed to kill support for this card in particular since LSI has EOL'd it. Although I've managed to download megaraid-2.00.3 which does support this card and build an object on a sperate box. Although the installer seems to require a driver disk and

MegaRAID Storage Manager on CentOS 5.5?
Does anyone have the 'MegaRAID Storage Manager' GUI working on CentOS 5.5? I can run it, but it won't let me log in. The docs state that it requires the local root username and password - but it always rejects this with "Message = Login failed: Invalid username or password!" Thanks James Pearson

LSI MegaRAID 320-2E PCIe RAID Controller
Hi All: Has anyone tried using an LSI MegaRAID 320-2E PCIe RAID Controller in an HP DL380G5 (of any HP G5 DL for that matter) running CentOS 5? It looks like it should work but it would be nice to know that someone has already done it before I start going to all the effort and expense of building the box. I have a spare DL380 and a couple of IBM EXP400 disk arrays that I would like to configure

Getting Megaraid Software Manager Installed On CentOS 7
Well I'm pleased that my raid card post brought all the enthusiasts out of the woodwork. So who has installed LSI's MSM software under CentOS 7? I've downloaded the linux-x64 package from: http://www.lsi.com/products/raid-controllers/pages/megaraid-sas-9361-8i.aspx Extracted the files and run "install.csh -a". This installs vivaldiframeworkd under /etc/rc.d/init.d and
