Invalid or corrupt kernel image
Hi, I am trying to setup my own PXE boot server. I tried several PXE bootable Linux-Distributions. For example if I use the ubuntu netboot image from [1] it works quit well but there are a few other images they do not work in my case e.g.: RIPLinuX [2]. A friend tested this image on his PXE boot server with success. I also checked the download with md5sum. In my case I can see the boot menu [3].

"couldn''t find bootloader config file in the image provided."
I attempted to install Ubuntu 10.04 as a domU on my CentOS dom0. The process I used was: wget http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/lucid/main/installer-amd64/current/images/netboot/xen/xm-debian.cfg Edited the config file to use the proper logical volume for its install, and stepped through the install, installed GRUB to the MBR, and all seemed well. However, upon xm create -c NAME

XCP storage
Hello, I have setup XCP using the install .iso and have been trying to do an install over http, this has failed miserably each time. So now I want to just carve out an lvm from the disk and put my .iso files in there and install off of them. How is this done? I can create an lvm easy enough but I am not sure how to mount it and expose it to XCP. Is there some type of magic I am missing? Is there

Broken rsync mirroring for PuppetLabs APT repo
Hi, I have sent this mail to info@puppetlabs.com and received no answer, so I''m posting here as well; I hope somebody at PuppetLabs will be able to help. I have a local mirror of apt.puppetlabs.com which has been broken for at least a few days: the apt/dists/ subdirectory only contains symlinks to non-existent files. LVM & volume groups
Can anybody tell me if it makes a difference if domU''s have separate LVM volume groups? For instance, the Xen User Manual ( http://tx.downloads.xensource.com/downloads/docs/user/#SECTION03330000000000000000) says, when setting up a domU''s disks with LVM, to do a vgcreate vg /dev/sda10 Should each domU have it''s own volume group, or can all the domU''s share

XCP: buitin templates (how they works?)
Good day. I''m pretty curious, how they work with netinst (debian, suse, ubuntu, centos)... As I understand, at first start they downloads xen-aware kernel and netinst initrd from repository (with one user must point with other-config:install-repository)... But how they do it? I means, this some kind of script, some kind of variables... Really, I''d like to do few more

/proc/mounts always shows "nobarrier" option for xfs, even when mounted with "barrier"
Ran into a confusing situation today. When I mount an xfs filesystem on a server running centos 5.4 x86_64 with kernel 2.6.18-164.9.1.el5, the barrier/nobarrier mount option as displayed in /proc/mounts is always set to "nobarrier" Here's an example: [root at host ~]# mount -o nobarrier /dev/vg1/homexfs /mnt [root at host ~]# grep xfs /proc/mounts /dev/vg1/homexfs /mnt xfs
