Reintroduce "allocate entire disk" checkbox on virt-manager
Hi list, on older virt-manager versions (ie: what shipped with RHEL 6), a checkbox called "allocate entire disk" was selectable when configuring a new virtual machine. When checked, it means that the RAW disk image file was entirely allocated, generally issuing a fallocate() call. When unchecked, the disk image was a sparse file, with on-demand space allocation. On new virt-manager

Fallback on-demand relay problem
We found an interesing issue that after a downed publishing point is restored, the fallback relay doesn't stop relaying. We've tried everything, but once /asf2 or /asf3 is envoked for /asf1 fallback reasons, they don't stop relaying their source streams even though the output stream /asf1 has returned to normal. Eventually we end up with /asf2 relaying indefinately with no

Newbie question - on demand streaming?
> Well, a number of reasons. Dedicated streamers are better at streaming > audio/video than webservers, In theory. In practice this is not true. Apache is far more robust than any streaming server I've seen yet, and far more stable. Many of the scaling issues have been addressed, and the drawbacks are minimal. Streaming servers should be better for two reaosns. 1) they can be more

On demand relay in icecast 2?

I added <on-demand>1</on-demand> to one of my relays on a 2.1.0 server but it didn't work. I have a server I'm planning to set up if this functionality becomes active. Steve P.

calculating correlation of a Supply/Demand measure and price change (in high frequency time series data)
Regarding "financial" data: I have a high frequency (1 minute) measure of supply/demand and I'd like to know if it has any influence on short term price changes (also 1 minute). Question: How do I calculate the correlation between this supply/demand measure and price changes (correctly)? Some facts about that data: The price changes and supply/demand measure are non-normal. icecast on-demand streaming iPhone
We are using icecast for live and on-demand streaming of recorded live sessions. The problem occurs with the on-demand streaming on IPhone's: the recording starts playing and after 5 - 7 minutes it starts over again from the beginning. We think it might be caused in the handling of partial content. The icecast log shows at the first connection a "206 Partial Content" answer, but a

IAX2 trunk with on demand Internet link
Hi, I'm connecting 2 Asterisk servers with an IAX2 trunk. Trunk works fine in testing, no problems there but the Internet at server-A is an "on-demand" system that is based on the amount of http/https traffic going through it (or if the link is brought up manually/via scripting interface). As such there will be times that the link is down....workflow-wise this is not an issue (trunk

Fax on demand
I know you're looking to do this with asterisk, however, if you have trouble and want an outsourced solution, try www.openfax.com. You can do the IVR with Asterisk and then write a script that calls Openfax and they send out the fax for you. krw -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of Isamar Maia

on-demand source as default mountpoint
I don't understand why you want to do this. if you want to send a static file on demand, then use a webserver or the /file directory with icecast. why do you want to map the mountpoint to a static file?
