/usr/lib/xen/bin/qemu-dm: invalid option -- ''-vcpu_avail''
Hi,
I''m trying to build a xen-qemu-dm-4.0 package to support the HVM part of
the Xen 4.0 package that will be soon in Debian experimental. When I
start an HVM domain, I have the following subject line of this thread in
my /var/log/xen/qemu-dm-XXXX.log file, and then it stops here.
Any idea what I should do to fix?

HVM ignoring vcpus parameter
Hi,
I am using Xen 4 under Debian Squeeze. I want to use Windows 2008 x86
with HVM, but only one vcpu allocated when vm started.
After increasing vcpus number (vcpus = ''4'') in cfg, at start ignored
that parameter, xm list VCPUs show only 1.
Why does not able to increase the vcpus? Any idea?:)
p.s: if using pvm linux, then the vcpus parameter is ok, increased

Two cleanly installed CentOS 5.6 servers but with different Xen kernel versions
Hello,
Earlier this week I installed a test server with CentOS 5.6 with
Virtualization enabled during the installer. Today I installed another
server using the same method (they are identical servers). I just did a
yum update and I found something curious. Both servers have a different
kernel. Server 1 is at 9.1 version and server 2 at 5.1. How can this be?
How to I get the latest version on

Xen network problems on domU shutdown
Hi,
I''m new to XEN and have the following Problem:
If I shutdown my domU the network of the dom0 leaks. A ping from another
server to my xen dom0 shows a Packetloss > 80%. Then if I restart the
domU after some seconds the ping show a loss from 0%. I retryed that 3
times but it is really hard to go to the dom0 via ssh and recreate the
domU if the packetloss is that high.
I used google

[PATCH] libxl: vcpu_avail is a bitmask, use it as such
vcpu_avail is a bitmask of available cpus but we are currently using it
as the number of cpus available. This patch fixes it.

drifting clock in domUs
Hello,
On a xenserver with several (39) domUs, we experience problems with the
system clock of the domUs. The clock seems to drift away several seconds
up to two minutes from the dom0 clock.
We do have set independent_wallclock=0. According to the docs (i.e.
http://wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/InstallationNotes) that way domUs
should use the dom0 clock, but apparently that''s not the case.

Bug#683170: Xend causing high CPU load - starting domU failing
Package: xen-utils-4.0
Version: 4.0.1-5.2
After clean upgrade from Lenny I got xend highly use CPU resources
causing domU don't being created - due to timeouts for vifs and vbds
(mostly CPU Steal Time was increasing - no iowaits).
Tried Xen boot options acpi=noirq|ht without success. Option acpi=off
solved that issue, but performance of the server was horrible. The final
workaround was to

hot-plug vfb on Xen domU?
I want to give my clients access to their Xen domU consoles using VNC. This works great using vfb device configured as type=vnc.
However I have 2 problems:
* I can't figure out how I can add a vfb device to a running domain without restarting it (I have 100+ domU's I want to enable this on, and want to avoid restarting them all if possible)
* Related, I can't figure out how I can
