config dump for success with Xen 4.0 rc8 + 2.6.32.10 pv_ops kernel
Hello, Build: Xen 4.0 rc8 + 2.6.32.10 pv_ops kernel Following the post by Thiago http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-users/2010-03/msg00913.html and the follow-ups by Boris I succeeded with the build. This box is server only running with Intel C2Duo on a P45 chipset. Starting with Thiago''s kernel config, I removed all sound and MM drivers. My initrd was still 63+ MB. The

Xen 4.0 build git
After download of Xen4.0, Is there a simple way to disable to not download from git implicitly ? (I already did it offline and would like to use that build instead.) Idea is: "make world" would not enforce git automatically. Any suggestions ? _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com

Re: [PATCH] Fix IPSec for Xen checksum offload packets (Jon Mason)
Hello Xen folks, I have independently verified that this patch indeed fixes the issue (I posted a message about the issue over the summer: http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-devel/2005-08/msg00114.html). I used changeset 8911 of xen-unstable.hg. The patch as written expects kernel linux-2.6.16-rc2, but changeset 8911 uses kernel 2.6.16-rc4. I verified that the patch works with

Fw: Xen, full virtualization and Virtual Machine Manager ?
I downloaded and ran the live CD from http://wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/LiveCD which worked fine on a Lenovo, Intel Core 2CPU 6300@1.86 GHz with 2GB of ram and 80 GB disk space. The next step was to recreate a working version on this machine, using full virtualization of some test OS''s, one goal would be Microsoft Server 20xx and being able to view the console of the guest machine.

Re: Xen 3.4 Configuration Issues with Ubuntu 9.04! One more time.
Reading my blog, you are missing the place above the point you complain.  That is :- ---------------------------------- BLOG ------------------------------------------------------------------ Notice , that x11vnc would work , but not under Xen Hypervisor. So, installed via Synaptic all SDL libraries and vnc4server. Updated ~.vnc/xstartup to start fluxbox in background. Updated /etc/rc.local :-

Segmentation Faults on DomU
Hi All, I am seeing strange segmentation faults on DomU after I install gcc ( or for that matter any s/w with yum). I am using PV linux images. - I am using the source for xen 3.0.4 from Xensource and I built Xen + Dom0 from source, and booted Dom0. - I then downloaded the fedora6 file system images from jailtime.org and booted the DomU using the kernel from the step above. - When I run

XEN, SuSE 7.2 and AFS
Hallo all, I installed SuSE9.3 (Kernel 2.6) with XEN environment. Now I want SuSE7.2 (Kernel 2.4, old glibc and gcc) as guest domain using AFS. But there are problems during compile an loading the AFS modules. Does anyone knows, if it is possible to use such an environment? Regards, Lars Richter -- Dipl.-Inf. /lib/tls.disabled or xen-friendly glibc?
Hi, until now I have run Xen with /lib/tls out of the way for both dom0 and domU''s, but now I''m trying to install OpenLDAP in a domU, which requires TLS as default. So now I have at least three options ahead of me: 1. mv /lib/tls.disabled back to /lib/tls and accept the performance penalty (is there any documentation on how heavy this penalty is?) 2. Compile OpenLDAP

Problems installing Centos 3.4 & 4 using NFS + Kickstart
My hardware is Sun V65x servers, (6GB RAM/2xXeon3GHZ/36GB SCSI disk). I have NFS repositories of Centos 3.1, Centos 3.4, Centos 4 & RedHat 9.0 ISO distros set up. I use boot floppies for each o/s with the same kickstart file which is of course altered to point at the desired distro. With Centos 4 I have to use a boot CDROM, of course, rather than floppy disk. I wish to set up servers with
