2.6.31 xenified kernel - not ready for production
Hi, I just want to know if somebody use 2.6.31.4 xenified kernel (aka OpenSUSE) in production? We have been testing it on new Nehalem Xeon server for few weeks w/o any problem. But as soon we tried it on production machine - after several production domUs started - hard OS failure. We had to switch back to 2.6.18.8 - xen stock kernel. Ping interrupts and SSH laggy
Hi, i have succesfully configured Xen 3.0.4 with 2.6.16 kernel on some C2D hw with currently 2GB RAM. Only hitch was with the integrated Intel Gigabit network card which is not supported by by default xen kernel - so there is e1000 module compiled from intel sources. Server is connected on 100Mbit ethernet line. Network setting is currently bridged. At the moment 4 domUs with various linux PV

OpenSuse 11.2
Hello, I get the X problem with OpenSuse 11.2 with a different card Radeon 1550 but the same Radeon driver. I test the system with an OpenSuse 11.1 (change boot disk) with no problem. With the 11.2 and a "non-XEN" kernel all is OK. I open a bug on bugzilla : https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=552492 with the problem. Regards JP P

guestfsd: error while loading shared libraries in SUSE12
Hi guys, I've struggled in this error for 1 week and your help is really appreciated. As one EMC software engineer, I need to setup the libguestfs tool in SUSE12 ( SUSE11SP4 is also OK, while SUSE12 is preferred ) to mount some qcow2 image from openstack environment. Then we can read its file system architecture and restore some files. 1. The first thing is we build one SUSE

[LNT] Tests for web UI/javascript?
There was this PR to use Jasmine: https://reviews.llvm.org/D20161 But I think it did not make it into tree. Kristof, any update on the issues you were encountering? We could move forward with that. I think we were pretty agnostic to which framework to use as long as it was not hard to install. JS Testing would be *really* good. I have debugged a lot of issues recently that ended up in the JS.

OpenSUSE packages
Hello guys, Nouveau's OpenSUSE Build packages have broken dependences. It seems that now it demands xorg>=7.5 but the avaiable in opensuse 11.2 (current version) is 7.4. As there is no xorg-7.5 compiled for 11.2, I'm running vesa driver by now. I guess that a hint on download page could be useful. Cheers, --- Luiz Angelo Daros de Luca, Me. luizluca at gmail.com

LNT on pypy and documentation build
Hi, working on the LNT documentation I am wondering about a few things: - LNT documentation recommends to do `easy_install lnt==0.4.2dev` (in the install box on the left side of the title page). The last available version of LNT on pypy is version 0.4.0 from 2012. Are there plans to keep this up to date or should we better remove the entry and not mention pypy packages anymore? - Building the

a demo website to learn xen on wiki (an idea that can be tried)
Hi, I am not very old member of this list but I keep browsing the threads. t\Today while browsing the threads in mailing list got an idea I see many of the questions sound similar to some thing which can be called as clarity of terms. I mean to say some one who may be coming to Xen wiki for the first time may find many terms confusing to them. Say for example a web hosting control panel many such

Windows 2008 SBS suddenly disappearing on Xen 4.0.0
Hi all, when running Windows 2008 SBS on Xen 4.0.0, it disappears after some time (longest time I had it running was 20 minutes). The Hypervisor has 16 GB of RAM, currently 2 GB are allocated to Dom0. This specific DomU has 8
