About profiling xen
Hi there,
I am getting very low throughput (around 0.29Mbps) while running netperf benchmark for guest to guest communication on a single physical host. To analyse where the time is spent in hypervisor I wanna use profiling. Please help me choosing good profiler according to my requirments. Should it be better in my case, Xentrace, gprof, xenoprof or Oprofile. Is it possible to use some vtune

Xen boot probe
Hi,
These are my make menuconfig screen shots. I haven''t found any
xen option in v2.6.30-rc. Why is that so? this happens with most of the
version. What should I do? should I just let it as it is an run the
make command to build the kernel?

Webserver throughput in xen-environment
Hi
I am running a web server in one of my xen guests. Using ab as a load generating tool i have collected some throughput data for different file sizes like 5KB, 10KB and 100KB. One thing that i have noticed strange here is throughput drops down in a virtual http server, it happends in case of 5KB and 10KB files.
Also it takes longer to run tests in virtual environment.

xen 3.1/ RHEL5 vs. ethtool
I have the xensource 3.1.0 x86_64 tarball installed over
a RHEL5 clone distribution. The "ethtool" utility only
returns the following information:
[root@fermigrid5 etc]# ethtool eth0
Settings for eth0:
Link detected: yes
[root@fermigrid5 etc]#
Since I have no vanilla-installed rhel5 machines with which to compare,
I am not sure if I am dealing with a bug in the ethtool

DomU to DomU throughput issue
Hi
Is there anyone who has successfully resolved the low throughput problem in Guest communication.
I am using Xen3.4.1 with PV os kernel 2.6.30-rc6-tip On fedora11. While running netperf benchmark on guests throughput results are very low
DomU to DomU 0.29 Mbps
Why is it so? What would be the problem. Is there any issue with fc11 platform?
