LLVM Developers/Users Meetup and Event Planning in Sydney (Update)
Hi llvm-dev,
I've been hosting and organising the LLVM Developers/Users meetup in
Sydney for the past few months now, and recently (May 2nd, 2018) we
met up to plan the next few meetups and start a discussion about a
larger event sometime around October 2018. Here's some high level
details (and some feedback that might be helpful for other Meetup
organisers):

Validate Before Delete
I have an Order model with a ''status'' column. What I want to be able to do
is validate that the status of the Order is not completed before it is
allowed to be deleted. I tried the following method in my Model, but it
appears that this only works for an :update or :create on the record.
Anyone know how to do this, and if it should be in the model or the
controller?

Testing has_many, :through relationships
Hi All,
This is my first post on this list. I''m a developer working on the
Central Coast of NSW, Australia and came across RSpec via Lachie who
demoed RSpec on Rails at a Sydney rails user group meeting a couple of
months ago. I''m loving the expressiveness of RSpec and can''t really
see myself going back to Test::Unit.
I''ve come across one oddity though. I

Hi All,
Is there a way to filter / modify the output of a model class before
it''s returned to controller/view that''s calling it?
Example: I have a field phone_number which I always want to preformat
using the number_to_phone() helper....
Any help is appriciated.
Thanks!

Problems transferring calls - Part 2!
Ok. I've done more research and testing and here are the details.
It is using the dialparties.agi (http://www.sprackett.com/asterisk/)
file to dial . Originally with the dial options "tr".
I changed the options to "Tt" but no change.
Transferring internal extensions between each other works fine.
Example: 201 calls 202. 201 transfers 202 to 203.
Transferring the IAX

Edit wiki HowTos/Cacti_on_CentOS_4.x
Hi All,
Just been trying to follow the HowTo's for installing Cacti on Centos4
and realized theres an issue with one of the mysql GRANT statements. Not
sure if its because of any updates to the cacti sql file or not but
basically it needs to include LOCK TABLE as well otherwise the database
doesnt get built properly. Happy to edit the wiki myself if required,
username is NickMae.

On Tuesday, 26. June, an LLVM Meetup will take place in Paris. We invite
everybody interested in LLVM to join.
o What is LLVM?
LLVM is a collection of modular and reusable compiler and toolchain

several commercial OpenCL compilers or RenderScript.

People,
I am in a hurry to fill a programmer/developer position for an insurance
company in Sydney, Australia. Since we have started the process of
looking at Rails as a future development environment I thought I might
be able to find an appropriate person from this list faster than going
through the usual advertising/agencies route. If we can find someone
appropriate I would like them to start
