Troubleshooting Xen 4.0 + 2.6.32.16 pv_ops install
Hi,
I have several servers Supermicro - running Xen 3.4.1 @ debian 5.0 x64
running without any issues for more than year.
Now I bought new server with exactly same config and installed Ubuntu
10.04 x64 - Xen 4.0.1-rc4 - 2.6.32.16 pv_ops
- base Ubuntu 10.04 install boot without issues
- Xen 4.0.1-rc4 compiled and installed withou any problems
- 2.6.32.16 pv_ops dom0 kernel with custom config.

pv_ops kernel and nvidia binary driver
Just wondering what it will take to get the nvidia binary driver
working on a pv_ops kernel.
It makes it difficult to debug without the source to the nvidia
driver, but I think it should be possible to get it to work without
changing the binary driver. If the dom0 kernel had access to all the
resources that a bare metal kernel did, then it should work right?

Creating a Fedora 11 DomU
Hi All,
I just tried to create a DomU using the following method... (I normally use the Xen install kernel when I create CentOS domus, but when I tried that with the PXE image, that had the same effect as below). This is the first time I have created a Fedora domu in ages... years, even.
virt-install \
--paravirt \

Re: xm create: Error: Device 0 (vif) could not be connected. Hotplug scripts not working. One more question.
Next question:-
eth0 8000.001c2596e32b no peth0
pan0 8000.000000000000 no
virbr0 8000.000000000000 yes
Presence virbr0 in report seems strange. Direct port Xen 3.4.2 to F11 doesn''t install daemon
libvirtd ( bridge virbr0 ) , unless you wrote xen-3.4.2-(x).fc12.src.rpm yourself.
So , from where bridge virbr0 comes

after installing virt-manager, error reported and cannot start up xend
Hello,
I installed xen3.4 on Fedora and it worked very well. But after I installed
virt-manager by yum install, xend cannot start up any more. It always
reported:
/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/xen/lowlevel/xs.so: undefined symbol:
xs_set_target
Who could give me some hands on this problem? I have other machine installed
xen3.4, can I copy some libs from that machine to this one to solve this

XEN 4.0.1 + pv_ops Kernel + CentOS 5.5 x86_64, is there an easier way.
Hi
As you may''ve seen from my last posts I''m struggling to get the setup on
my subject line to work without flaws.
I''ve tried compiling the Kernel from Source, I''ve also tried Fedora 14,
which has a flaky pv_ops Dom0 kernel which DOESN''T work at all, but none of
these seem to work.
I''m a mid-time XEN user, I just love it and want to stay

Fw: Re: What packages ubuntu-xen-server & ubuntu-xen-desktop are up to on intrepid
I have installed Ubuntu Intrepid Server on bare metal and successfully ran:-
# apt-get install ubuntu-xen-server.
It installed several packages on system . Now i can see files
/boot/xen-3.3.gz, /etc/init.d/xend, /etc/init.d/xendomains, but no
xenified kernel gets in. Attempt to use vmlinuz-2.6.27-7-server, obviously , fails with system panic.
I do remember recompiling procedure for Xen

2.6.30.1 dom0 Xen patches
I''ve been trying for several days to get a xen dom0 booting as
described on Boris Derzhavets blog.
I have been able to boot Jeremy Fitzhardinge''s pv_ops kernel under
xen, but my X server wouldn''t start so I''ve been trying to get Andrew
Lyon''s rebased opensuse patches to work.
I have asked for help in the freenode ##xen channel but they

VNC access console of paravirtualised DomU
Hi,
I''ve seen this asked a few times, but I just can''t work out whether I am misinterpreting how this is supposed to work, or if it is just broken in my setup.
What I want is to be able to see the character cell console of DomU''s via VNC. As far as I understand, when I create/startup the DomU, then a vnc server should start listening on my Dom0. I have tried every
