network issue, RHEL4, lack of peth0/peth1 device
Hi! I''m not new to Xen but I''m new to this list. I''m having a truely bizarre problem with Xen bridged networking at the moment. This is a new install, on RHEL4. The symptom is that any domU set up simply fails to talk to anything else. It''s there, and running, and it has an ethernet device, but there''s never any response. After digging through the

However, when I configured it, yast came up with an error message that''no driver module for the device found''

network bridge empty
My very first xen DomU can not ping anything on my network. Well that is not entirely true, it can ping itself. I did not touch any of the scripts in /etc/xen so xen should be using bridging. My pc is running xen-unstable and uses a 3Com PCI 3c905B Just after the ''xen start'' on Dom0 brctl shows: bash-3.00# brctl show xenbr0 bridge name bridge id STP

Cannot have eth0 in domU
Hello, I am trying to run Xen 3 on FC5, but I cannot have the eth0 interface appear in domU. I have 3 servers running FC3 and Xen 2 with various domUs since a year. Everything is fine on that front. I took one of the server, upgraded it to FC5 and did the following: - yum install xen kernel-xen0 kernel-xenU - grub.conf contains title Fedora Core (2.6.15-1.2054_FC5xen0 root (hd0,0) kernel

xen hotplug scripts not working
Hello Everyone, I have set up a xen server with 10 physical network devices using the bridge mode of XEN. This is because I want to split and separate the network traffic for security reasons. Maybe the best way is to use pci back hide. But I want to understand what is going on here. For all testings I have only activated eth[0-3]. My first tests were successful. I have created a VM using

HVM + IGD Graphics + 4GB RAM = Soft Lockup
I''m having an issue forwarding through an Intel on-board graphics adapter. This is on a Dell Optiplex 780 with 8GB of RAM. The pass-through works perfectly fine if I have 2GB of RAM assigned to the HVM domU. If I try to assign 3GB or 4GB of RAM, I get the following on the console: [ 41.222073] br0: port 2(vif1.0) entering forwarding state [ 41.269854] (cdrom_add_media_watch()

No connection in DomUs with network-route
Hi, I would like to know if somebody can point me out how to configure several DomUs in a private LAN (for example 192.168.100.0/24) and one DomU with two interfaces (one - 192.168.100.0/24 and two - internet). So far I have enabled in xend-config.sxp: (network-script network-route) (vif-script vif-route) My config files have: /mnt/VM/1.cfg:vif = [''ip=192.168.1.3'']

No shared physical device in virt-manger on centos 5.2
I''m using xen-3.0.3-64.el5_2.1 on centos 5.2. When I installed centos 5.2 at first time, I could see shared physical device (xenbr0). but after updating virtualization package by yum, it disappeared... connection.py is patched at centos 5.2 release time. so I can''t find out what''s wrong.... bridge configuration is below and it''s normal state.

Hello, We have a machine (Debian Etch, Xen from Debian repositories, etc.) with two NICs: one for LAN (192.168.0.0/24) and another one with public IP address. [SPAM] Xen bridge network issue
Hi, I have taken the long and winding road and indeed it lead me to your door. I need your help, please. My Xen includes 2 guests. Xen itself (10.2.0.52) gets free access to the outside world and to its guests. Both guests however (10.2.0.54/10.2.0.55) see each other but stay under house arrest! Not a single ping manages to go past the bridge (xenbr0) and get an answer from the default gateway

Multi-NIC Debian Xen Box
Hello, I''ve recently changed my xen network setup and now, almost expectedly, my configuration has broken access to the Domus from the network, and now I need a little help. Previously, I had four interfaces, only one of which was configured to be used by both dom0 and domu. I have since created a bond between eth2 and eth3, expecting that eth0 would be automatically assigned for use

Arp Flip Flops make machine inaccessible.
CentOS 5.5 Xen "standard" Xen Installation. I have two nics. I just put the second one to DHCP and modified the ifcfg-et01 and so far I am holding, but I am not confident. Prior they were sequential IP Addrs on same subnet. arpwatch has indicated flip flips. I can find no rhyme or reason to predict them. I know I missed I must have missed a step somewhere. I want to keep the
