Xen 3.3.1 on CentOS 5.2 - networking problem with bond
Hi,
I'm new to the list and new to Xen, so please be gentle with me! ;-)
I've got a CentOS 5.2 x86_64 machine with two interfaces (eth0 and eth1
unsurprisingly) bonded into bond0 in mode 4, and a Cisco switch set up with
LACP to suit. I didn't select Xen at install time as I wanted to install
Xen 3.3.1 from the gitco repo. After installing and yum updating, I added

Re : Re: Installing Ubuntu 10.04 on Xen and Centos 5.5
Thanks all for your tips !
But this solution doesn''t work :/
I reinstalled Ubuntu and I partitioned it differently :
/ => ext4
/boot => ext3
swap
I saw this bug on RedHat Bugzilla : https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=577511
How can I apply this patch ? I never did this...
Thanks in advance...

installing Windows 2008 R2
Hi all,
I''ve been trying to install Windows Server 2008 R2 under Xen 3.1 on
Red Hat, but it keeps blue screening after the first reboot during the
install. It seems to only affect 2008 R2. Windows Server 2008
installs fine, rebooting a couple of times along the way.
With R2, it will go through the initial unpack and install, and then
it reboots. I''m installing it

Unable to create WinXP DomU
Hi,
Since a week or two I can''t create two of my three WinXP DomU''s anymore, the
third one starts just fine.
This is the basic error message I get:

Using config file "./WinXPViaLilaGeert".

There is little information in this error message. /var/log/xen/xend.log has a

xen-testing and redhat-cluster devel
Hi,
I''m using xen on two-node redhat cluster (CVS devel version), using lvm
as storage backend.
redhat cluster is used to synchronize LVM metadata (using clvmd) and as
storage
for domain configs and dom-U kernels (with gfs).
Latest version of redhat cluster works with xen-2.0.4, but not with
xen-2.0-testing.
ccsd failed to start on 2.0-testing. Anyone knows what the problem is?

A little time ago, I have tried to upgrade xen-3.4.2 to xen-4.0.0 (with
emerge) on the Supermicro server, but the computer wasn''t able to boot with

Shared storage between open Xen, VMware ESX, XenServer, KVM and a normal Linux...
Guys!
I have one fiber channel IBM storage (10T) and 8 HP Proliant servers with
32G of RAM on each and 1 HP with 4G of RAM.
My question is:
* How to use the same storage (block device) with all my different
virtualization servers simultaneously?
I have 2 open source Xen with CentOS 5.4, 2 VMWare ESX, 2 Citrix XenServer,
2 KVM powered by Ubuntu and 1 Debian exporting the IBM storage to a SAN

Xen 3.3.1 - no VM yet, X process using 100% of CPU
Hi,
I''ve installed the RPM for Xen 3.3.1 from Gitco for Centos 5.2. I actually did try to compile it directly from source before that with success but as I were having an issue (which I now know is the same), I decided to use the work from somebody else hoping it was a problem specific to my compile.
As a summary, I have a dual core Intel CPU with 3 GB of RAM and this kernel running:

terrible problems with Xen on SLES 10.2 / 11
Hello everyone,
I''m totally new to Xen and trying to run it on some platforms (x86, x64)
using SLES (that is what I have to use for reasons other than technical).
Several machines on which I tried using Xen simply fails to run normally
using Xen kernel: either network communication is not functioning at all
despite proper configuration (that works on non-Xen kernel), or the

Hi,
I am a Xen newbie and have been trying to get Xen-3.4.1 working on my Ubuntu
Lucid (kernel version 2.6.32-21) system, using kernel 2.6.18.8 as dom0. In
attempting this, I ran into the following issue. On booting into Xen, I get
these errors:
