Infinte loop in RtlPrefetchMemoryNonTemporal under Windows
I have been trying to track down a problem that occurs when my GPLPV drivers give Windows a packet with the NdisPacketTcpChecksumSucceeded flag set. The problem is that the machine locks hard. After some tedious work with the debugger, I have found that Windows makes a call to a routine called RtlPrefetchMemoryNonTemporal, which looks like this: 8088e579 mov eax, dword ptr

Xen 3.3.0 cpu cache problems
Dear Xen users, I have a problem with "Xen 3.3.0". All domU (paravirt) only have "32 KB" of cache instead of "6144 KB" as listed in dom0. This is really noticeable under load since the system tends to be really slow. I did not have this problem with "Xen 3.2.1". I''m using the same domU configuration files for the new and the old installation.

Hi, Do the gplpv drivers work with stubdom? I''ve tried to get them working and posted to the mailing list for help but the only reply I got was a suggestion to use config settings which appear to allow the gplpv drivers to access the hd at the same time as the stubdom, which might work but isnt what I was after, have I misunderstood stubdom and there is no advantage to using gplpv

Question about /gplpv
Hi, I have a question about the switch /gplpv in boot.ini I see that some of the pv driver code is looking at this option; is there is any other piece of code that looks at this option before the drivers get loaded and perhaps change the bootpath or do something fancy? Thanks in advance, Udas _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com

QCOW2 goes corrupted when using GPLPV drivers
QCOW2 disk image gets corrupted when you try to install Service Pack 1 AFTER installing GPLPV drivers. This means, without the pv drivers, everything works fine. I tested both RAW and QCOW2 without GPLPV drivers and the installation has completed without any error, and the image (at least qcow2) has no errors too. How to reproduce: - Install Windows 7 32-bit guest - Check the image with

Hi all, i''ve been trying for two days to get rid of the gplpv drivers on a W2003Sp2 machine. I''ve followed all kinds of tutorials and suggestions but there must be something I''m doing wrong because even after having gone through all the process I always end up with an "Unknown PCI Device" that wants to be installed every time I reboot (either with or without

Removed GPLPV, can''t install Novell''s Virtual Machine Driver Pack
I''ve been struggling with this for quite some time. I have some older VMs that had 0.9.11 GPLPV drivers installed. I''ve tried removing them manually and I''ve tried the uninstall batch file. They do "appear" to be removed, but I''ve never been able to get Novell''s Virtual Machine Driver Pack to install on these VMs. I always get an error when
