snmp statistics for vnics
1 simple question about network statistics for vnics:
We noticed that the statistics for vnics (used by Virtualbox guests) are not there. When the nics are plumped in the host OS, we do see them showing up, but all all records are 0.
Can someone tell me how to get the correct network info via snmp on the Vbox Host??
Thanks in advance.

Net-SNMP interfaces out of order
Hello Centos People,
I have a CentOS 5.3 box that had a total of 5 ethernet cards in it. It
functions to share an internet connection with 4 different subnets. All
works fine, except I'm noticing that my MRTG traffic graphs are wrong.
Further digging with snmpwalk reveal that the order of the ethernet
interfaces changes every time the machine is rebooted to a different order.

Interfaces stick around now on domain restart?
Hi,
I've just begun putting xen domains on an etch dom0 (my other
servers being sarge with backports at this time). I've noticed that
when a domain is restarted or shut down, SNMP believes that the
interface is still there and a new interface with the same name has
been created.
For example, on an snmpwalk:

FW: QoS extension to Net-SNMP
Hi.
I did send this to `jaazz@post.cz'', but I suspect the list is a more
appropriate/useful place for it. It''s a question about Michal Charvat''s QoS
extension to Net-SNMP.
When I look at the MIB entries for the QoS handles, I get something like
this -
enterprises.qos.qosObjectTable.qosObject.qosHandle.0.0 = Gauge32: 0

No matching MIB found for sysOID
Hello all,
Thank you in advance for a great FOSS project. Also, thank you for reading my question.
I have a CyberPower OR1500LCDRTXL2U with an RMCARD205. There are a handful of devices plugged into the UPS.
I received a message today saying to send upsc output to NUT developers after this message: "No matching MIB found for sysOID '.1.3.6.1.4.1.3808.1.1.1'"

SNMP monitoring
It seems it's not possible to monitor kvm virtual image network interfaces
via SNMP. MRTG's cfgmaker says
### The following interface is commented out because:
### * has no ifSpeed property
and other monitors are consistently reporting that vm's interfaces are
exceeding traffic thresholds (even on lo ...). Which is no surprise if
the threshold is zero.
I found a hint on some

synaptics problem
Hi,
I've recently installed FreeBSD 6.3, and I've got a problem with
synaptics.
I've installed it, followed the pkg-message :
hw.psm.synaptics_support=1
It works, dmesg gives :
psm0: <PS/2 Mouse> irq 12 on atkbdc0
psm0: [GIANT-LOCKED]
psm0: model Synaptics Touchpad, device ID 0
moused_enable="NO"
ps shows me that moused doesn't run.

NUT vs PowerWalker/BlueWalker SNMP with VFI 1500RM/3000RM LCD models
Hello,
I have two UPS from PowerWalker: VFI 1500RM LCD and VFI 3000RM LCD both
equiped with SNMP card, but NUT with snmp-ups does not support them.
PowerWalker declare support RFC1213, RFC162 but there is a problem with
some snmp values:

Network UPS Tools - Generic SNMP UPS driver 0.66 (2.6.4)

Graphing tc output
Hi,
My HTB shaping is working perfectly, and i have setup a bridge and hosts
behind the bridge are now getting only the bandwidth they are supposed
to get. Thanks to every one here for helping me out :)
Now I am thinking of making a graph of traffic going through various
classes. Is their any thing readily available for it, or is parsing the
output if tc and passing it to rrdtool the

Performance problem
Hi, I am running rsync version 2.5.7 (stock distro on redhat linux, ES
and 9) to rsync a directory with ~300k files in it from a machine on a
10Mbit internet tap to a machine with a 100Mbit internet tap. The
problem is that I am only getting about 500Kbps during the transfer. I
have tested link speed by scping a file between the two systems,
performance was approximately 7.5Mbit/sec. Ping time

trying to prioritize voip traffick
I am using a server with asterisk and I am trying to prioritize voip
traffick -- I am a newbie at this traffic shaping, so please bear with
me. I used the script below and what happens is thatall traffic in
the bulk class stops after a couple of minutes. Also, should I
include the ports for rtp in the filter statements with the ports 5061
and 4569? Note I have a fairly big pipe -- supposed to
