Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Hello,
I''m doing my first steps with Xen and have my first domU up now
(Debian/sid under Debian/sid).
The main problem I had, was to bring up the graphical desktop of the
guest with vnc4server. The solution was simple - but not easy to find
for me - so let me share it:
Whenever I tried to login on xdm or gdm via xvnc4viewer coming from
dom0, I found errors in .xsession-errors of

Some errors in the blogentry with instructions on how to install Xvnc on Solaris
Hi,
I created my first Xen DomU running Solaris today using the instructions
from this page Creating Solaris domU virtual disk images at
OpenSolaris.org
<http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/xen/How-To-07-2006/Solaris-domU/>
and it works out of the box!
That''s cool again!
If you''re going to do the same (and I encourage you to do so!) be aware

lightdm + xorg.conf + nvidia driver
Hello CentOS-Community,
I have to maintain a server that should be useable with VNC and some
software requires to run VirtualGL.
Also a nvidia graphic card is installed.
After downloading and installing the nvidia driver from nvidias homepage
and modifying
the xorg.conf as mentioned on the virtualgL-homepage,
I am not able to restart lightdm anymore.
Lightdm should be running, otherwise

[ANNOUNCE] xdm 1.1.12
xdm is the classic X11 Display Manager, using the Athena Widgets toolkit.
While it lacks in support for accessibility, internationalization, or other
modern features, it is still used in some sites for historical reasons.
This release collects 7 years worth of bug fixes and code cleanups,
including the fix for CVE-2013-2179 that was previously distributed
as a patch against the prior release.

Hi,
I''m trying to start Xorg on a PV Fedora8 guest running 2.6.21.7 fedora stock

the .rpm package.
The only included drivers I see in /lib/modules are:

[ANNOUNCE] xdm 1.1.15
xdm is a basic X11 display manager and GUI login screen.
This release fixes a failure to build with the upcoming gcc 14, cleans
up several other compiler warnings, fixes a bug in the generation of the
xdm.service file for systemd, and removes a lot of dead code checks for
platforms & features that have not been supported since the conversion
from Imake to autoconf in 2005.
