Re: Windows 2008
There are rumors that 2k8 will support Paravirtualization, but I have yet to see anything to confirm that and haven''t found it in my testing of 2k8. -Nick >>> On Fri, May 2, 2008 at 9:15 AM, Tomasz Chmielewski <mangoo@wpkg.org> wrote: Venefax schrieb: > Is there a "xenified" version of Windows 2008 Server? HVM + IGD Graphics + 4GB RAM = Soft Lockup
I''m having an issue forwarding through an Intel on-board graphics adapter. This is on a Dell Optiplex 780 with 8GB of RAM. The pass-through works perfectly fine if I have 2GB of RAM assigned to the HVM domU. If I try to assign 3GB or 4GB of RAM, I get the following on the console: [ 41.222073] br0: port 2(vif1.0) entering forwarding state [ 41.269854] (cdrom_add_media_watch()

Re: Benchmarking GPL PV Drivers for Windows between0.9.11-pre13 and 0.10.0.69
Pasi, Thanks for putting that wiki page together for the dom0 kernels - it's something that has long been needed for pulling together information on those kernels. I know it's always a chore for me to find info on how to get/build a dom0 kernel if I don't like the one that's included with a distribution. Thanks! -Nick >>> On 2009/07/07 at 00:50, Pasi

GPL PV drivers for Windows - WDM version
I''m been busily converting the xenpci and xenvbd drivers from WDF to WDM to resolve a few issues including potential licensing problems with the Microsoft WDF and to (hopefully) allow them to function as boot drivers when doing install and system recovery. It was a fairly major rewrite of xenpci, and xenvbd, which are now working (booting and running without crashes so far). I

Again: Release 0.8.4 GPL PV-Drivers for Windows
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello James, have you ever tested the pv-drivers on W2k SP4? ;-) At first there is a little failure in install.bat. The version-number of w2k starts with "5.00" instead of "5.0.". So your script couldn''t recognize w2k. The rest of the installation looks ok, but after rebooting the vm nothing happens. Release 0.8.8 of GPL PV drivers for Windows
In the spirit of ''release early, release often'', here''s another binary release... http://www.meadowcourt.org/WindowsXenPV-0.8.8.zip The only thing that''s changed since 0.8.7 is that xennet should work under amd64 again. GPL PV Intermitent Network Problems
Well, I seem to have developed a strange issue with the GPL PV drivers in Windows. I''m running Xen 3.2 on SLES 10 SP2 and running some Windows XP HVM domUs. Most (12-15) of my Windows machines work just fine. Two of them, though, have started exhibiting a strange behavior with intermittent network connectivity. Basically, the network starts up and connects initially. After some

Build win-pv Error
Hi XEN-Community, I''m trying to build the actual version of the XEN gplpv (win-pv) drivers. I use the a Windows XP machine with the WinDDK 7600.16385.1 and Wix 3.0 like suggested in the BUILD.txt The building process itself seems to be working, at least there are no compiler error. (I just made the "makedist") Instead, the final *.msi files and the drivers itself are nowhere
