Can't replace a faulty disk of raid1
Hello, I had a raid1 btrfs (540GB) on vanilla 3.6.3, a disk failed, and removed it at power off, plugged in a new one, partitioned it (to 110GB, by error), and added it to btrfs. I tried to remove the missing device, and it said "Input/output error" after a while. Next attempts simply gave "Invalid argument". I repartitioned, rebooted the system, and made the partition grow:

corruption of in-memory data detected (xfs)
Hi All, I am having an issue with an XFS filesystem shutting down under high load with very many small files. Basically, I have around 3.5 - 4 million files on this filesystem. New files are being written to the FS all the time, until I get to 9-11 mln small files (35k on average). at some point I get the following in dmesg: [2870477.695512] Filesystem "sda5": XFS internal error

unexpected raid1 behavior?
Hi, I''m starting to play with btrfs on my new computer. I''m running Gentoo and have compiled the 2.6.31 kernel, enabling btrfs. Now I have 2 partitions (on 2 different sata disks) that are free for me to play with, each about 375 gb in size. I wanted to create a "raid1" volume using these two partitions, so I did: # mkfs.btrfs -d raid1 /dev/sda5 /dev/sdb5 # mount

Using physical disk in HVM
Hi, guys. I''m trying to use physical disks as virtual disks in HVM domains. But I couldn''t. I''m using cs10508 of xen-unstable.hg. When I use disk = [ ''phy:sda5,ioemu:hda,w'' ] in conf file, creating HVM domain says, I need to use ''file'' modifier if I use ''ioemu''. So, I changed it to disk = [

mkfs.btrfs - error checking /dev/sda5 mount status
Hi, I''m hitting this issue - sda5 is a normal device, nothing to do with loop, encryption etc. # mkfs.btrfs /dev/sda5 WARNING! - Btrfs v0.19-35-g1b444cd-dirty IS EXPERIMENTAL WARNING! - see http://btrfs.wiki.kernel.org before using error checking /dev/sda5 mount status Is there something I can do to resolve this? Drive Mapping Problem & solution
Just got Wine 1.1.13 on Ubuntu 8.10 tried to map D: to my Windows partition /dev/sda5 /media/DATA but Wine wouldn't keep my choice and reverts to /media/cdrom0. Found out that permissions for ~/.wine/dosdevices/d: were root only and couldn't change them. So I deleted d: & d:: and made new symbolic links $ sudo rm -r /home/me/.wine/dosdevices/d* $ ln -s /media/DATA

Re: [synnefo-devel] Re: [PATCH 1/1] inspect: Fix a bug in the *BSD root detection
LGTM Another thing concerning the disklabel partitions is that list_filesystems() will print both /dev/sda1 and /dev/sda5 as ufs file systems. I don't know if you care to change this. The fact is that both are mountable. P.S. I wish the kernel folks would stop treating the disklabel partitions as logical partitions. Logical partitions are sequential, there are no gaps in the numbering. On
