[RFI]Is NAT broken with Linux HVM guests?
Hi All,
I tried a usual NAT setup with a Linux HVM guest.
Looks straight forward approach.
Unfortunately I cannot ping even domain0''s eth0 interface.
Xen assigns an IP address for me to vif1.0, where 1 is the domid of my
HVM guest i.e 10.0.1.128(changes are per vmid and domid).
I manually attached ip address 10.0.1.2 to eth0 in HVM domainU and add
default gateway to be 10.0.1.128.

Grant Tables between dom0 and domU?
Hi All,
The interface manual says - grant tables provide a generic mechanism sharing
between domains.
Subsequent lines suggest mechanism sharing between only unpriviliged
domains.
Can grant tables be used for this capability based shared memory
communication between dom0 and domUs?
Thanks

Mapping hvm guest pages in Dom0
hello,
I would like to map (Read/Write) pages owned by a HVM guest from my Dom0
Linux kernel module. I have access to the "machine frame numbers" of these
pages.
1. What is the right interface to do this? kmap needs ''struct page'' ptrs
which I doubt exist for pages owned by a HVM guest. Is there a hypercall to
do this then?
2. Do I need to modify the HVM behavior in

Page tables in Xen
Hi,
I have a question about memory page tables in Xen. As far as I
understood, every modification
to page table will go through Xen(hypervisor). Is it so that all page
tables are actually allocated
in Xen(hypervisor) instead of guest OS(domain)? Also, is it the case
that Xen(hypervisor) needs to
maintain a page table for each process running in every domain?
Thanks

Xen 3.2 FC6 DomU Kernel Panic
Hello,
I am trying to boot a FC6 domU on Xen 3.2 (compiled on a FC6 system).
After compiling Xen 3.2 successfully on FC6 and making the ramdisk, I
modified the conf.grub as shown below. With this, I was able to boot xen.

HI Rusty,

Unfortunately my local git repo cannot get the 2.6.23-rc2 changes from
upstream somehow :-/.[duh... says "Cannot get the repository state

CentOS to support ICH9
Hi,
full ICH9 support for Centos 5 can be found
http://fs12.vsb.cz/hrb33/pub/ Take it as a workaround until CentOS 5.1
is released. I hope ICH9 to be included in this version. Support is done
by backporting from new kernel versions. Delta file is created with
mkdeltaiso from CentOS-5.0-i386-bin-DVD.iso, so full image can be
created with applydeltaiso.

all-generic-ide irqpoll
Without irqpoll it just hangs and without
all-generic-ide it get a kernel panic. So I still
need both to recognize the disk and continue booting.

btw - I installed your x86_64 rpms that has the ich9
patch directly on that box but it still will not boot
without all the options.

mainboard recommendations
Hi,
As it has been brought to my attention (by several parties), my current
MB does not support VT-d.
Since I don''t feel like purchasing a brand new system, I have searched
for replacement MB-s
that would fit into my existing uATX case, support my C2D CPU, and
support at least 4x2GB ram.
I have narrowed it down to the following four models:

I tried using applydeltaiso and it creates a 2gb ISO
but I notice it fails on applying.

When you snip the rest of my post man that last
request sounds really bad on its own. Sorry guys. I
saw the "uploading the new DVD's" a few days ago and
thought I would ask. I really do not want to put
anyone out and please do not go through any
