ProLiant DL3n0 EMT64 - x86_64 or i686
Guys, I'll be building a couple of DL360 G4p & DL380 G4 boxes soon and I've not dealt extensively (i.e. at all) with any PC stuff that hasn't been i386. I know the DL line pretty well but it was all G2/3. So, question is, do I stick CentOS i386 or x86_64 on them? 2 boxes x 2GB RAM and 1 x 4GB, all SMP. Will.

Hardware Compatibility HP Proliant - Sangoma PCI Express
Hi to all, I am in the process of setup a new asterisk server, I think in the HP Proliant ML350 G6 Server (aprox. 100 SIP Users), and Sangoma A102DE Card. The specs of the Proliant (HP PART 487932-001) about PCI are the next. 1 ( 1 ) x PCI Express 2.0 x16 ( x8 mode ) , 1 ( 1 ) x PCI Express 2.0 x8 ( x8 mode ) , 4 ( 3 ) x PCI Express 2.0 x8 ( x4 mode ) The question is, if

extlinux vs. HP DL360 G4p
Hello List, I have been told to get linux running on two HP DL360G4p machines (ancient rackmount xeon stuff). Unfortunately, while isolinux boots fine from CDROM, and extlinux can boot a USB stick, I cannot get extlinux to boot from the CCISS hard disks (two disks in hardware raid 1 configuration). I searched on google a lot, and found (very old, many years ago) messages saying these

Lost my Vista VM
All, I installed Vista on Xen yesterday, but it no longer shows up on my Admin console. Disk space still shows 30G used by it. Also, how do I eject CDROM while Xen is running :) Thanks, Andrey _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

I''m looking for the right distribution to run Xen
Hi, we''ll start virtualization with Xen in our company and we''re looking for the right distribution. The most important Servers in DomUs are working with a MS OS (Win2000/2003/2008). I''ve read something about to accelerate Windows with paravirtual drivers in some distributions. Other distributions have specific tools to install and support DomUs. And now I''m

HP proliant and hpasm
Is anyone successfully running asterisk on an HP proliant while using their management software, hpasm? I have two DL360's and two TE220B's. The cards have their own IRQ's. No matter what combination of settings I use, the cards fail the patlooptest if hpasm (ver 7.9.1) is running. If I stop it the cards pass the test. I really want to run the management software, so I'd

Syslinux 3.85 chain.c32 problem solved
Thanks to debugging information from Thomas Mieslinger, I have root-caused the failure of chain.c32 in Syslinux 3.85. I have put out Syslinux 3.86-pre1 and Syslinux 4.00-pre33 which fix the problem. I expect to release a Syslinux 3.86 relatively shortly (ideally in the next two weeks), with bug fixes only. I would like to figure out if there are other bug fixes we can get in in reasonable time,

HP DL360, tg3 driver, bonding and link flapping
Hi *, I'm running into a problem configuring bonding on an HP DL 360 G4p, running 4.3 + tg3 driver version 3.43f. I'm connecting eth0 and eth1 to a Cisco 2948 (CatOS 8.1(3)) and receiving flapping notices. The ethernet address is that of the primary interface. I have tried several different modes, including balance-rr (0), active-backup (1), and balance-alb (6). All have the

HP Hardware
At my university we use HP hardware exclusively. When we build CentOS our Unix SA is running several HP utilities. I am wondering what some of these utilities are, such as cmaidad. Is it possible to to use these HP utilities to monitor for disk crashes (similar to smartd)? Is anyone using native HP utilities for this purpose? TIA
