Hello
Im trying to access shadow copies under windows XP by rsync.
Shadow copies may be accessed as a device with the following syntax:
\\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy1
I try it with rsync but the log always states:
rsync: link_stat
"/cygdrive/\//GLOBALROOT/Device/HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy1/ada"

GP exception on vmxon
Hello, I tried to write a piece of code to start vmx.
This code is directly interacting with cpu instead of with virtual cpu
as in xen.
But every time I call vmxon, a GP exception happens.
Could anybody help me on this? The following is the context
1. After booting up to the program, I disable A20M.
2. allocate a 4kb-aligned vmxon region and calculate its physical
address.
3. setup

RE: A question on vmx loader in xen - how and when rombiosis loaded into memory
Thank you.
I notice the system then jumps to F000:FFF0 to execute. But because VMX is turned on, switching to real-mode would incur problems?
I don’t find any clue to turn on the vm86 mode as Readme in the tools/firmware directory puts.

failed when boot the kernel image on the hard disk from syslinux on a floppy
After formatting a floppy to MSDOS format and using syslinux /dev/fd0,
I successfully installed ldlinux.sys to the root directory of the
floppy.
Then I created a syslinux.cfg under the root directtory of this floppy
to load the linux kernel in my first hard disk, 3rd partition, boot
folder. The file system
of this partition is ext3. The floppy has a FAT file system. This config
file is listed

List access to rsyncd.conf modules
I've seen this question asked in the archives, but not really answered.
I would like to limit the rsync operation to modules listed in the
rsyncd.conf file and hence disallow any command line syncs.
Is there any way of doing this?
Thanks in advance
regards,
Dal

A question on vmx loader in xen - how and when rombios is loaded into memory
A "main" function is defined in
Xen-3.1.0-source/tools/firmware/hvmloader/hvmloader.c.
In this main function, rombios, vgabios and vmxassist are copied to
specified address,
with following commands
memcpy((void *)ROMBIOS_PHYSICAL_ADDRESS, rombios, rombios_sz);
...
memcpy((void *)ETHERBOOT_PHYSICAL_ADDRESS, etherboot,
sizeof(etherboot));
....

antispam plugin crash
Hi,
the dovecot antispam plugin crahses here on a nullpointer dereference in
antispam_copy() at mailbox.c
The crash tracks back to a call of
antispam_classify_copy(asms->box_class, asmb->box_class)
At that point in time asmb is set to 0x0, causing the process to crash
with SIGSEGV.

Thomas

[LLVMdev] Linking/archiving bitcodes with module asm
Hello,
I'm archiving a number of bitcode files via gold plugin based on LLVM 3.4.
When I find a thumbv7 bitcode with a couple of module asms, I get a
segfault in ARMAsmParser::parseDirectiveFnStart because getTargetStreamer
returns NULL. Frankly, I don't see how this is supposed to work because as
far as I understood LTOModule::addAsmGlobalSymbols only creates a

IPFW compiled in kernel: Where is it reading the config?
Hi peeps,
After compiling ipfw into the new 6.2 kernel, and typing "ipfw list",
all I get is:
"65535 deny ip from any to any"
From reading the docs, this might indicate that this is the
default rule. (I am certainly protected this way--but can't
be very productive ;^) )
By the way, when I run "man ipfw" I get nothing. Using this

For 64-bit it's fine. For 32-bit we *think* the retpoline bits are OK
but it doesn't build for other reasons on 32-bit.
