kickstart + domU for static IP
I've set up a local webserver to store kickstart files for domUs. All
parameters are respected apart from the network settings. DomU always
gets DHCP. Can any one help to unwrap this one? Does one add hostname,
ip, netmask and gateway values to the /etc/xen/blah.cfg file?

Quadrified GTX 480 VT-d passthrough. CUDA 5.5 in Linux partial success!
Hi everyone,
after following in the footsteps of the following discussion
(http://lists.xenproject.org/archives/html/xen-users/2013-09/msg00106.html)
I had been able to turn my GTX 480 into a Quadro 6000. When I VT-d
passthrough it to a Debian jessie VM it shows up fine and CUDA 5.5
seems to function properly up to a point:

Does CentOS support dual graphics cards with 2 monitors each?
I have a user who wants to have 4 monitors attached to his CentOS 6.4 system. I know that you
can't use both on-board video and a PCI video card at the same time, but what about two PCI
video cards? The system seems to recognize them as shown by the lspci -v output below, but
I can't get Xorg to use the second card. Has anyone done this? If so, what is the trick to
get it to work?

OK looking for some constructive critiuquing and ideas. This is just a
ruff draft
1. First we need to know what type of graphics card you
have. Please do the following at the command window. To get to the
command window do the following
[root at nVidia ~]#lspci -v "note the difference in board manufactures."
These drivers will work on all Aftermarket

Creation of additional image within a domU
Chaps,
Perhaps this question is a little basic for this list but I''m not
really sure of the simplest method or best tool for the job.
I''ve created some images with `dd=/dev/zero ....` and I''m using them
for the domUs now. Some of them have been running for a few months
with no probs. Trouble is that I''d like to create a separate partition
within the domU.

Numbering of releases
Am I right in thinking that the numbering of the versions are in synch
with the gcc version that one is recommened to build with? In other
words "use gcc version 3.foo".

Cobbler or manual set up for local repo
Chaps,
Is cobbler overkill or is it simpler to set up a local repo and rsync
it with a mirror?

Ext3-Bug in Kernel 2.4.21?
Hi,
The following error message appeared in syslog while the filesharing
client overnet was running and writing to the disk.
I first only noticed that suddenly Opera was frozen and no new terminals
could be started.

domUs not booting 2-core box, clues required
Chaps,
Do any of run Xen on a 2-core box that you built from source? If so
did you build your own images? I''m curious as I''ve built images on a
single-core node and they run --fine-- on that machine.
However, as soon as they start on a two-core box they die.

Best way to exploit VT chip
Chaps,
I finally have access to a VT enabled box. What would be the best way
to get the most out of Xen and VT? A number of questions here. Bear
with me. They may seem simple but all I did previously was get the
source code, study it a bit, read the README and build from source.
Now that I have a dual-core machine how does Xen know how to split
resources for the instances?
Does one give any
