Virtualization supporting 1000Mbps nics?
I've got xen-3.0.3-105.el5_5.5 running on Centos 5.5 and all is running smooth but I notice that any VMs running under it only have access to Realtek RTL8139C at 100 Mbps nics. We have 4 x 1G nics configured in a port channel so I'd really like to be able to give my VMs 1000Mbps nics. Does anyone know if this is possible and how to do it? If not, does KVM support faster nics because at

HLS enabled mounts
Hi Robert, Unfortunately I am not replying to answer your question but to ask a question on pre-roll. I am working on a similar project but still at the configuration stages. For some reason my intro file is not being played. I am also using Icecast 2.4.4 and have four mount points on one relay server. I am trying to use my intro file on only one mount point. I am also doing mp3 not HLS.

HLS enabled mounts
Hi Robert, Intro files play whenever a listener client connects. If you are disconnecting from WiFi and going to LTE, for example, this is expected behavior as you are severing the connection and re-connecting. It sounds like the same type of case with users with "unstable Internet connections" as they may well be disconnected from the Icecast server and reconnect when network is

anova F-tests (PR#8875)

The F statistics calculated by anova are much larger than what you get out of SAS, for example. I

formula format for parameter estimation
Hello, I am trying to input the following formula into R for parameter estimation. I don't quite have the just of formula syntax. I understand simple basic regression (y ~ x), but how do I do the ff: y = ( b0*x )/(x + b1), where b0 and b1 are parameters that need to be solved. Any help/suggestions for a newbie would be much appreciated. thanks ./w Wayne Delport Molecular Ecology and

lmer family=binomal p-values
Hi, If any one has time I need some help understanding the P-values given in the lmer output. Using AIC for model selection I find my minimal model is FOLLOW~MOVERSTATUS+DISTANCE however it appears DISTANCE is not significant at 95% confidence, see output quoted below. However, removing DISTANCE gives a higher AIC=433.5, therefore I will keep it in, but am confused as to what is adds to the

SSH for OS/390 (ODBC SSH-Tunneling to OS/390)
Hi Martin, my name's Daragh, and I'm a renewal projects architect in the University of Chicago. I saw your name on a listserv - openssh-unix-dev. I was hoping you could lend some insight to a problem we're trying to solve. We are trying to find a way for an Oracle database to connect securely to a mainframe (OS/390 running Model204 DB) through ODBC (Open Database Connection

I second that advice. Also when you reference your file in intro do this <intro>/Sonic.mp3 </intro> . As long as it is in the folder you don’t need the whole path. failure building memcached rpm
Hi all, I need to install the latest memcached version (1.4.20) on a number of machines in this environment. There are only rpm's of this app for RHEL 6. But we need to install the latest memcached on a number of RHEL 5 machines. To be specific, they are OEL 5.7 hosts. I've installed all of the developers tools that I would need. But when I go to build the RPM I am getting the

Problems connecting to samba 3.04
I have a FreeBSD 4.10 box with samba 3.04 set up and a Windows XP pro sp1 client. Everything is fine, except every 15 minutes or so for no apparent reason the connection drops and I'm unable to access the server. Then after a few minutes the whole thing starts working again, and 15 minutes or so later, the connection drops again. The problem is pretty similar to

Samba 3.04 PDC/WINS server browsing issues
I've looked everywhere and haven't found other mention of this particular problem, so I'm hoping somebody here can help. I'm currently running a samba 3.04 server as a PDC using an LDAP backend on RHEL3. The system also acts as a WINS server, though at this time the browse list does not need to span subnets. I am currently in the process of migrating Windows 2000 and Windows

winbind changes from 3.04 vs. 3.08 & 3.09 ?
We have a mixed mode NT4 and W2K domain trust wan. The W2K domains are for Exchange and the NT4 are for fileservers/users. There's about 5 domains of each throughout our company. When I was testing 3.04, I could see account from all domains via winbind -- getent passwd would return NTlocal\user, w2k\user, w2k2\user, nt4\user, nt42\user.. Since I started testing 3.08 and 3.09 (binaries from
