guest domain couldn''t be started
Hi,
I install a guest Fedora inside the host Fedora. When I use the
service xend status
to check the status of xend. It shows xend is running.
However when I use
xm create xen1
to start the guest domain xen1, it failed. The corresponding file xen1 is
in /etc/xen/xen1. The error msg is as follows:
[root@phillis xen]# xm create xen1

FW: zaptel 1.4.0 on Fedora Core 6 x86_64
I tried to test Asterisk 1.4 on FC6 x86_64. I have it working on FC5 x86_64
very good, but since FC keeps updating, I tried to follow newer kernel
versions.
I can't pass the zaptel compilation. Everything is OK, but when I finished,
and tried to load it, allways got module not found when I run modprobe
zaptel, and modprobe ztdummy.
I already tried to modify is with the sed 1 option but

I am new to Asterisk. Now I got one question on the identifier parameter of the Dial() command. I saw as below:
exten => 20,1,Dia(Zap/3/5551234).
Would you please let me know the meaning of "5551234"?
Thanks,

Could I run this system into Xen?
Thanks in advance!

Could someone explain me the following questions:
Where are differences between Para-Virtualization and Full-Virtualization in the aspects of memory management, CPU and Device I/O, Network?
How is the performance difference between them?
Thanks

Kernel Crashing
Hi,
I''ve just attempted several times to install Fedora Linux domU''s on a Fedora
6 [32-bit xen kernel 2.6.20-1.2944], and it keeps crashing at various points
when trying to format domU''s virtual disk. I''ve tried allocating 1 vcpu and
2 vcpus, and it still keeps crashing dom0. The machine has a total of two
hyperthreaded 3.2ghz Xeon cpus, and 3GB of RAM.

PXE client does not honor "hostname" parameter passed by DHCP server
Hello all,
I would like to seek advise on the following; I have configured linux
NFSroot images for a bunch of servers and am able to boot and run
stuff happily; one nuance that bothers me is that, for instance, my
Fedora6 (x64) (kernel 2.6.22), (and noticed also in some other distros
- Fedora8, Ubuntu710), the client boots but DOES NOT seem to pick up
the hostname I pass it through the DCHP

Can not find hvmloader in /usr/lib/xen/boot
Hi all:
I am installing Windows XP SP2 on xen 3.0.4 with a VT able machine, but I
can not find hvmloader in /usr/lib/xen/boot。I installed xen from source
code, compile it, build it and installed it, does this matters?
Then I installed xen 3.0.4 in Fedora6 by yum install xen* and copy the
hvmloader to the former machine, It looks like winxp was started, but when I
use vnc to connect to winxp, the

how to pxeboot dom0?
Hi all,
Well I''ve managed to waste a day on this.
Posted a similar message earlier today on the fedora list and got no
nibbles.
I read every article in the archives regarding pxebooting; there is no
mention of it in the wiki.
I have a box with two kernels, a standard fedora 6 and a xen fedora 6.
Both boot fine.
I''ve setup another server with dhcp and tftpboot and can now

How to enable pciback.hide in standard xen 3.0.2 kernels
Or how to delegate special PCI devices from domain-0 to dom(u)
Hi,
I tried to manage some pci devices for dom(u) domains, using the fedora core 5 (xen0/u) and 6-test2 (xen) i686 kernel-xen and kernel-xen-devel rpms:
In domain-0 lspci shows the pci device 00:04.01 which should be delegated to dom(u)
In dom(u) lspci does not show any information (this seems to be ok)
lsmod in dom(u) gives:

logwatch reports not benig emailed
Hello,
I have a couple of CentOS 5 servers, and third running in a FC6 domU.
I've configured postfix on those servers to not deliver any email to the
local system, but to instead relay mail to an internal mail server. I
also set up /etc/aliases to send all mail to root to me, ksandhu.
I can send mail on the command line, and I get it at my email address,
delivered to the internal mail

how to get QEMU detailed breakdown in Oprofile?
Hi,
as now i am doing profiling and found that the QEMU should be one of the major reason for the low network throughput on HVM Guest.
In order to know details about it, it will be better to get the breakdown of QEMU in Oprofile.
As see from the following results, there is only two breakdowns, how can I run the oprofile to get more detailed QEMU informations?
