HVM domU Solaris 10
Hi, Anybody knows why a Solaris 10 HVM domU hangs when kernel is booting on my Intel CPU box. I had no problem installing Solaris 10 on an AMD CPU Box. Any advices? Solaris 10 domU under OpenSolaris dom0
Sorry if this was answered before. It''s hard to figure out what keywords to use in order to narrow the search. I''m looking into running Solaris 10 as a guest under an OpenSolaris dom0 host. Is this feasible, and if so, can someone point me to the best "howto" to reduce the frustration level? Otherwise, is there a better host OS to do this under? Thanks, Gary

DomU to Dom0 Communication in Xen HVM?
I am new to Xen and want to provide simple communication between my DomU and Dom0 environments. I just need to be able to pass a few bytes of information back and forth between DomU and Dom0 while using some form of event management to know when an update occurs so I can act on it. At first, it appeared that using XenBus and XenStore might be the right solution for this. However, after looking

Save and restore DomU (hvm) on Dom0 restart. CentOS 5.5 + Xen 3.4.3
What are the settings that I must specify to have DomU be saved and then automatically started on reboot of the physical server? In my /etc/sysconfi/xendomains it points to a save folder (which does not exist) My configuration files are located at /vm/cfg/vm-xxxx/vm-xxxx.xen   In my config file I have: on_poweroff = ''destroy'' on_reboot = ''restart'' on_crash =

B98 Solaris DomU on B98 Solaris Dom0 - installer not finding disks
Greetings, I have a problem that is baffling me. My host machine is an older Dual Xeon machine that does not support HVM - PAE is supported. I have 2008.11 b98 installed as Dom0. can dom0 modify Shadow PT of HVM domU?
Hi all, Can Xen hypervisor modify HVM domU's Shadow page table, under the dom0's context, like trapped from dom0's hypercall? I think it have to call 2 functions at least: guest_walk_tables() and flush_tlb_all(). Can these 2 functions called in dom0's context? In my test, if hypervisor tries to modify HVM's shadow page table, it will bring down the whole system. I am not

Dom0 freeze on HVM DomU Windows reboot with VGA passthrough
Hi, I''m doing VGA passthrough for an ATI (HD 6770) graphics card to a DomU Windows. The passthrough itself is working. However, everytime when I reboot the DomU Windows, the whole machine freezes. I see no error messages from Dom0 kernel or the xen qemu log (or perhaps I haven''t got the most verbose debugging turned on?). Though from what I can tell, the the freeze happens

I can get the domU installed and configured, however, I can not get any network connectivity. I followed the steps accoding to documents on Open Solaris. I also followed some of the threads of the list to verify the configuration, but I can not fix the
