VM does not reboot
Hello,
yesterday a coworker had to reboot one VM, the Vm did shutdown but
never came back up.
We are USing CentOS 5.1 and XEN xen-3.0-x86_64.
What can be the reason of this behavior?
Here ist the part of the logfile:

(XendDomainInfo:947) Domain has shutdown: name=auto-input-vm1 id=26

Fail to create hvm domain
I''m using FC5 with its Xen 3.0.2-2 package and 2.6.16-1.2118_FC5xen0 kernel.
I''ve got a Pentium 9xx chip with virtualization enabled in the BIOS; it
appears to be VT-enabled, since xm dmesg includes "(XEN) VMXON is done". I
base my config file on example.hvm and on previous emails to this list.
Unfortunately, I don''t get very far.

Using the parallel port from domU
Hello
I use xen and I am trying to use the parallel port of Centos 5.2

the port by blacklisting lp, parport and parport_pc + adding:
ioports = [ "0378-037a" ]
to the xen configuration file.
However, in the presence of this line, xm create replies with:

xen serial port access for domu?
Is serial port "passthrough" possible for the version of xen that
ships with centos 5.2?
I've disabled the xen hypervisor serial console, and can see the
serial port in dom0. I've masked out the 8250, 8250_pnp and
serial_core modules on dom0 and rebooted. xm create domain
fails with the error that exactly 4 arguments are required and
only 3 were given.
Steps I followed:

pygrub question
Hi,
I''ve prepared a Ubuntu 10.04 LTS server on a Xen 3.2-1 host running
Debian Lenny on kernel 2.6.26-2-xen-amd64. The Ubuntu 10.04 domU is
running a 2.6.32-24-server kernel from the Ubuntu repositories, which is
(must be :-) ) xen-aware. The domU uses pygrub to boot and it works like
a charm.
Now I''m trying to deploy this domU on a Xen 3.2-1 host running Debian

Hello list,
I want to virtualize my physical CentOS 4.5 yet. Therefor I download the
CentOS 4.5 iso. After mounting the iso on my notebook and make the mounted
iso available via nfs I start on my CentOS 5 xen machine following command:

I just compiled an installed the Xen Hypervisor, Tools and a new Kernel
from the 3.1 source.
The dom0 is running without problem and the xm seems to work fine, too
(tried xm info, xm list, xm dmesg).
Unforunately on creation of a domU I always get an error using a config
file and a domU image that is definitley working (at least with 3.0.4):
