etherboot & multiboot
I''ve now given up trying to get grub working with my particular e1000 adapter, I''ve tried all the patches and all I can get is something that works a little bit but never past the grub menu. I''m sure I read something somewhere about a tool which would combine a multiboot image + modules into a single bootable item which could be loaded by lilo, and am hoping that the

XP: VBD could not connect to backend device: USB boot
Hi: we have following setup: 1. 2.6.16-33-based Xen 3.0.3/Xen-3.0.4 DOM-0 kernels. 2. Using LILO-mbootpack from USB we boot Xen-->DOM-0 setup 3. We mount harddisk and try to install xp.hvm While,we are successful with FCs as DOM-U, for XP we get, VBD (768) could not be connected. We do have max_loop count to 64 and enough loop devices. Note that above error is consistent on both 3.0.3

Loading Xen with PXELinux
Hi All: I found this old message on the web archives. I've gotten Xen working with PXELinux, albeit with something of a hack. The basic chain is: 1. pxelinux 2. memdisk 3. FAT16 floppy image 4. grub installed on floppy image 5. xen.gz and vmlinuz on floppy image While this seems pretty simple, the key bits were to use: 1. FAT16 (not ext2, etc) for the floppy image 2. use the 'raw'

USBHID-PDU datagram
Hello *, I have my "24V DC modular ATX PSU" running yet and it collect already the data form the DS1780 and MAX1036/8. The Microcontroller is a Maxim Integrated Device DS89C450 and the USB-Controller a MAX3420E which works over SPI Bit-Banging. OK, this is now working and enumeration is done... ;-) Now since the PSU is a "Function" I was looking into the Linux

memtest86 problem
Hi! At first thanks for your great work! I started to make multiboot CDs 1,5 years ago, with Bart Lagerweij 's utils. I have a problem with the memtest86 floppy image, made by the authors in the .zip file, downloadable from it's homepage, when I use diskemu. Some days ago I found on Bart's page a new method to select boot images on CD with syslinux/isolinux/memdisk. I thought this is

Prefered Method for UPS?
Hello, since I had delayed the programming of the UPS Device part, now it is time to continue... My Device is "24 V DC modular ATX PSU" which replace the standard ATX Power Supply in PCs and use 15-43 V Input Voltage. The microcontroller is a TI LM3S5T36 Cortex M3 and I get the "UPS" infos using up to 4 Maxim DS1780 and some I?C current sensors. The ATX PSU has 4

24V DC ATX PSU with limited UPS functionality over USB
Hello Developers and *, I am working on a "24V DC ATX PSU" for Photopholtaik Systems which can have input voltages from 18V to 27.7 Volt and is entirely modular, which mean, you can select the desired module/s (up to 6) from ATX (96/144/240/300W), P4 (144W), SATA (82/305W) and Device (34/68/136W) And last not least, I want to build a "PowerWhatch" module which should be

Same output in NUT as from APC tools?
Hello, Since I have now nearly all stuff running on my LH7A404 and now I am working on my DS80C411, I like to know, whether NUT show the APC UPS stats like the APC tools. Currently I do not know, HOW NUT triber the USB-Poert to get out the infos of the UPS. In theory I do send out only arround 5-60 lines of data which then NUT or any other programs must parse or something

extlinux - Failed to load ldlinux.c32
Thank you for your answer. I need to correct some information from my previous post: booting from `/` did not work either. I just assumed it did based on previous experience. But with that successful build on development branch, it did not either. > I would suggest trying first the official binaries that are already > included in the official distribution archive (6.03-pre1). PXE-booting Xen using PXELINUX
Hi all, A number of people have posted to the Xen lists recently wanting to network-boot Xen on machines whose NICs are not supported by GRUB. I''ve been writing a module for PXELINUX that will allow it to boot Xen directly over the network on PXE-enabled machines, without relying on any hacks (mbootpack, &c.), or needing to write/port any device drivers. I have a version of it

[OT]: Require suggestions - GSM Gateway <-> Asterisk
Hello, I am looking for ideas and suggestions. I want to use a 16 port GSM gateway as a trunk for outbound/inbound. I will also have two PSTN phone lines coming into the Asterisk server. All calls will go to an IVR on the Asterisk PBX. Outbound from extensions will route to GSM-GW when the dialed number matches a pattern set in the GSM-GW trunk. And accordingly for the PSTN trunks. But that's

Decent Performance
Hi all, I am trying to get some decent speed out of a vanilla Debian (Proxmox) box and am running out of ideas. Basically I can exchange data at 110MB/sec (raw, nfs, ftp) but not with Samba shares. I tried almost every samba tuning tip I could find to no avail. The only optimisation left to smb.conf at the moment is debug level = 0. As one can see the robocopy throughput is merely half of what
