http://www.fsmware.com/xenofreebsd/ dead?
Just wanted to try domU freebsd and found <http://216.239.59.104/search?q=cache:M_4r1b-RG- EJ:www.fsmware.com/xenofreebsd/5.3/xenbsdsetup.txt&hl=en&lr=&strip=1> but the webservice on www.fsmware.com seems to be down/unavailable. Any mirror? Or other working FreeBSD domU-kernels & images? Regards, /nils. _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing

Resizing Freebsd mdroot domU, on a RHEL4 dom0 machine.
I''ve gotten freebsd 7.0 domU working using the files here: http://www.fsmware.com/xenofreebsd/7.0/downloads on a rhel4 system using xen-3.0.0-7.1_rhel4.1 rpms. but the root filesystem for freebsd is quite small: demo# df -h | grep / /dev/xbd1793a 496M 274M 182M 60% / I''m wanting to resize the mdroot filesystem, but am unsure how. I have no issues resizing ext*

booting FreeBSD DomU
Hi! May anyone assist me with booting FreeBSD DomU (under Debian Dom0). Now I''m using the kernel-current, downloaded from Kip Macy site at http://www.fsmware.com/xenofreebsd/7.0/download/ The problem is that I can''t specify _any_ root, the kernel can recognize: Mount point / had 1 dangling refs Manual root filesystem specification: <fstype>:<device> Mount

FreeBSD + Xen 3.0
FreeBSD is now, with the notable exception of suspend, a stable functionally complete domU on xen 3.0. I am currently in the process of adding dom0 support. Suspend support will be turned on as soon as the xenbus + newbus integration work goes in. It is unclear how much sense it would make to post a sparse tree as this is all being done in -CURRENT (the development branch). However, as soon as

FreeBSD & Gentoo Images
Hello, does anyone have a vbd file of these 2 Operating Systems ? So far I only managed to get Debian Sarge installed properly with deboostrap. I would be more than happy if anyone had a DiskImage or a good howto for at least FreeBSD. Thanks Regards Christian Keil _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com

xm create issues (ValueError)
Hi, I''m trying to install FreeBSD as a DomU using the tutorial from http://www.yuanjue.net/xen/howto.html. I run into a problem when trying to run xm create -c /etc/xen/freebsd_xen_INSTALL vmid=1 when it returns a ValueError: need more than 1 value to unpack What can be the cause of such an error? I''m using Xen 3 on SuSE 10. Regards, Gerrit Niezen

[PATCH] disable writable pagetables on FreeBSD
Presumably as a result of recent changes, FreeBSD no longer works with writable page tables. In the short-term I''m more interested in functionality than performance. Correct shutdown scripts for Ubuntu or Suse
Hi all. I would like to switch off my UPS once all upsmon clients have been disconnected from the upsd server, so that when power returns all the hosts connected to the ups will be powered up again. In the documentation it states that I should edit my shutdown scripts to add the command: /usr/local/ups/bin/upsdrvctl shutdown Unfortunately I don't know what file to add the command to.

Firefox Issue
Everyone is back at work and starting to use computers on our smallest network which has Internet access through a rather old Linksys router.? Two systems were left on and screen-locked over the extra long weekend.? There does not appear to have been any Internet access interruption in our absence. A Firefox browser on one system was left pointing to a commonly used web site:

copying large files over NFS locks up machine on -testing from Thursday
I''ve locked up my dom0 a couple of times this morning copying a 3GB file from local disk to an NFS mount(neither xend nor guests running). I don''t encounter this problem on the stock CentOS 4 kernel. The machine is a PowerEdge 2850 with 2 e1000 cards - the one in use is connected to a PowerConnect 2216 10/100 switch and has negotiated 100Mbit. I''ll check if the stock
