Zaptel, Line Impedence and Echo
Hi, I'm not sure if I just missed something somewhere along the way, but I noticed while I was going through the CVS logs that there is an option in the wcfxs module to set an "opermode" - which apparently might help with echo issues around the globe (like the ones I'm seeing - some times). So I'd love to use it and give it a go. Apparently, there are some options that

Ouch, part reset, quickly
Ouch, part reset, quickly restoring reality (0) Power alarm on module 1, resetting! I have looked though a lot of email on this issue, and no one seems to have the answer. How many people are seeing this on a TDM400 card? Does anyone have a "REAL" answer to it. Yes, I do have the power connected to it! Regards Garry Taylor

tdm 400p noise
Hi I have had a TDM400p for a year now, recently I have been having problems with 'static' noise completely drowning out a call ( inbound only not on outbound calls)., has anyone else experience this and able to offer a solution. Also on inbound calls for the first 1/2 second or so I get a 'ray' gun sound and a bit of static then the call settles down and is usable any advice

Recomendations for utility to generate Asterisk configuration
I need some help generating configuration files for Asterisk. Since I'm running under Solaris I'm having trouble with some of the utilities that are more linux-centric. Can anyone recommend a free/low-cost package to generate conf files that is not linux-dependent and will handle a IAX2 and SIP trunk? Frank

Web based project management recomendations
I was wondering if anyone can recommend an advanced to enterprise class project management package (web based) that runs with a pretty "vanilla" centos install. I would prefer to stick within the realm of php/mysql (as I am not too familiar with the java servers), but would venture there if the reasons were there to do so. The approach is not software dev management, but rather

Monitoring Recomendations
I have a client that I have installed Dovecot 1.0.1 for is having some performance issues. Especially when using IMAP from various Outlook clients. I have TLS installed and all the IMAP connections are secured. I'm wondering is anyone has any recommendations for monitoring dovecot performance. I'd like to try and nail down where the real performance issues are. I suspect

Recomendations
Hi Ron, I'd definitely recommend Ices - seems like the most robust little thing in the world to me, although I'm not an expert, just a user. We use it (ices0 actually, because we wanted MP3 broadcasting) to broadcast our main radio stream at http://www.flatfourradio.co.uk and no complaints at all. VPN Server Recomendations
Hi Guys, I'm looking for a VPN solution that will run on CentOS. I've used PopTop with success but some clients have problems at hotels and other firewalled locations. If anyone can suggest something that works well with MS 2000/XP, doesn't require too much tweaking on the client side and is fairly resiliant to various firewall blocking, I'd be interested in hearing about it.

cheep laser printer recomendations
Hi! I would like to hear what printers go good w/our operating system. While back, I should have checked w/y'all like I'm doing now but I just went ahead and bought a Konica-Minolta PagePro 1350W. Now that W at the end of 1350 is a huge word that means WINDOWS! grrrr! It's a great printer 21pgs/min etc but it doesn't like linux at all and their tech spt will tell you as much. I

Redundancy recomendations?
I am working on a RoR project that fetches some of its data out of an existing database. The database server is physically located in Florida. When Wilma went through there were problems, I''m not sure how much of it was server related or the network connections between Illinois and Florida. Long story short we are now looking at deploying a geographically seperate servers for both for the

Recomendations for an ISDN-PBX to use with asterisk
Hi, I'm planning to buy a new ISDN-PBX (I hope this is the right term for an ISDN phone system). I would also like to connect it to asterisk. As far as I know there is no ISDN card where I can connect an ISDN-Phone to directly working together with asterisk (please correct me if I'm wrong). So what I was thinking of doing was to get a regular ISDN PBX and add a second internal S0 bus

Recomendations
Dear Icecast community, For several weeks I am running two IceCast2 streams. I am very pleased with the stability and performance of the Icecast application. Thumbs-up for the developers of this great piece of software!! The sources (live audio) are generated with two separated liveice-sn04 and streams to the remote Icecast servers. So far so good! Frequently one of the sources stops to stream

desparate for help DEV LITE KIT
Has anyone had any luck with the DEV LITE KIT? I'm getting very erradic behavior. I'll start it up and it will answer maybe one or two calls then hang leaving my phone in an off hook state or giving a loud shrill tone. It keeps saying "Red Alarm". Once it hangs it will not answer the phone again until I reboot. Starting and stopping Asterisk or reloading the drivers does not

2x analog interface (1 ISDN and 1 door phone) recomendation for Europe ?
Hi, I'd like to use Asterisk with ISDN interface and normal analog interface to door phone (or any other low cost connection type to door phone). What would be your recomendations for needed HW in Europe? Is it possible to have this in one PCI card? Are there any lower cost voip door phones? Thanks in advance, Robert.

KDB+DDB make interrupt storm on MSI motherboards go away it seems
I admit I was scepticle of this suggestion - but it actually seems to have worked. COmpiling a straight GENERIC kernel with KDB and DDB included do seem to have made my irq22 interrupt storms go away. Certainly I have spent some time trying to provoke the problem and not managed to make it read it's ugly head again. The thing is though, this doen't make me particularly happy - as I am
