newbie question on ActionMailer
Hi, I normally try to really figure things out before asking a stupid question but I''m tight on time and the stack trace indicates a pretty low-level problem... something scary for a newb. I''m hoping that someone can just say "you forgot to polish the widget before turning the crank" or some other simple newbie-slap. I''m trying to get actionmailer to send

Newbie RIS Replacement
Doing a lot of RTFM lately about PXE. I have done xCAT builds but want to take the voodo out of the process so I can control and understand the whole system. I am new to PXE technology and so consider me ignorant. The current server is a MS RIS server and I am attempting to migrate our facility to use Linux / PXE instead. First stage: take existing DOS bootnet floppy and convert to boot from

Dovecot upgrades break Blackberry instant email (BIS)
Hello, Just like when upgrading to 1.2, upgrading to 2.0.1 confuses RIM's BIS servers and users don't have instant email anymore on their Blackberrys. Under normal conditions, the BIS servers keep one open connection per email account with Dovecot. They're using IMAP IDLE to monitor changes and push them to devices very quickly. After an upgrade, all changes. The BIS servers can't

I have a RHEL5 server running Dovecot Version 1.2.11 all worked well until i have diceded to subscribe to Vodafone's BIS service (BB Bold 9700). Internally I use outlook, and it does 2-way sync without any issues, but the blackberry only syncs new email and it does not sync deleted emails when I

unloading memdisk
Hi Peter, I'm using isolinux and memdisk to create a multiboot rescue cd for personal use as described on Bart's page (www.nu2.nu). One boot item is to boot DOS 7.1 from Win98SE with a lot of other staff for emergencies. This DOS bootimage puts all necessary stuff into it's own ramdisk (XMSDSK). Some progs on the ramdisk needs access to floppy drive A: and unfortunately I've no

Centos 8 on Macbook (bis)
Folks I am trying to install Centos 8.1 on a MacBook Pro, Retina 15, Mid 2015. I have a bootable USB stick with centos-8.1-boot (which I think is the equivalent of a netinstall), and it boots. However, when I select the storage option, and choose to make more space on the SSD, go through the confirming dialogs, the installer complains that it was unable to save the information to the disk.

(3.0.2a) Client lose connection after deleting a large folder (bis)
Sorry for posting again, I've posted my first message in a bad thread ... I promise to pay attention the next time :) So ... We encounter a strange issue with a 3.0.2a Samba server (this problem also happens with previous versions). (Using Debian stable, Samba 3.0.2a, Windows 2000 SP4 client, NT4 SP3 PDC, No WINS) The reproductibility is quite total with these steps : - Copying a quite

VZW Blackberry BIS problems?
Ever since Columbus day things have been strange with my two dovecot servers, according to my Blackberry users. We do not have a BES just the standard BIS that comes with a personal account. Several people have told me that since that Monday that they get occasional duplicate copies of messages which only appear singularly in their Maildir inboxes. I myself even called VZW and got

spgrass6 and aggregation (bis)
Dear all, I have some additionale question concerning the spgrass6 package. * When you set a region in GRASS, does the readGRASS6 function in R only load data contained in the zoomed region or the whole map ? * When you have a MASK map in grass, does the readGRASS6 function in R only load data contained inside the MASK area ? Could this be the problem ? Thanks, Jessica

package.skeleton does invalide regular name, bis... (PR#12020)
Hi the list, I guess I find an other bug (the first one is at the end off this mail) in package.skeleton. It occurs when we give as code_file some file that are not in the current directories. If we give a single file to code_file (like code_file=3D"riri/fifi.R"), it does not reconize fifi.R as a regular name and change it to riri/zfifi.R If we give several file to code_file (like

Newbie Instalation
Trevor, I'm in a fairly similar situation, but maybe a week or two ahead of you. I'll post this so that maybe you can pick something up, but also so that the gurus of this list can maybe glean some info on how perceptions of the OOB (Out-of-Box) experience are as well..:) My background: - Fairly skilled on IBM's AIX (their unix flavor) from a command-line perspective. NO GUI. -

SYSLINUX 2.08 released
It's pretty much the same as 2.08-pre11. 2.08 mostly a collection of minor enhancements. Changes in 2.08: * Add new configuration command "ontimeout" to allow timeout to have a different action than just pressing Enter. * Add new configuration command "onerror" to allow a custom command to be executed in case the kernel image is not

Dell problems with PXELINUX 3.62
Good day again Daniel, So the first thing I did was to remove the >NUL for your XMSDSK line and put a PAUSE after it in AUTOEXEC.BAT. That way, I could see the error message: *** XMS RAMdisk v1.9I (FU - 08/98): XMS get free mem error. Then I noticed that if you run AUTOEXEC.BAT manually from the DOS CLI, XMSDSK actually succeeds! So that led to a new test: Duplicate the XMSDSK line. ...

Re: WinME command.com (was Re: Problems with Memdisk 2.04)
Hi, I've got the same Problem. Not with WinMe but Win 98SE. But what I figured out is, that it doesn't realy apply to the Command.com rather to the Way the BootImage was created. It took me a long time to get my Hands on a Image with 2.8MB that's working. Since creating one my self, was allways failling. I downloaded the Bootutils 4.3 from 3com and used the Imageedit tools. With these

Problems booting with memdisk, with fix
Hi, We have a number of HP PC's which were refusing to netboot both floppy and hard disk images with memdisk. Testing the problem under DOS for simplicity, the cause was because the INT 13 AH=0 Disk Reset function call is passed on to the BIOS by memdisk, and it appears that AMI's BIOS (V2.00) returns with the carry set flag if there are no (physical) disks present. This causes a failure

SYSLINUX 2.08-pre5 released
Goodness, how many prereleases has there been in the last week... have lost count... Anyway, I have implemented the already-promised chainbooting API, and have included a sample program to chainboot floppies (it works for harddisks too, but only for the MBR.) As a bonus, in the process I actually discovered that booting .bs/.bss images under SYSLINUX was actually broken... that has been

Isolinux.cfg issues on certain BIOSes
Howdy to all, We've been using isolinux quite successfully for quite some time now, and I have come across a couple of laptops where isolinux balks at my config file.. Upon booting on this systems, the image background appears corrupted, and at the boot prompt, the following happens automatically. Unknown keyword in config file. Could not find kernel image: 1 boot: Any label input here
