XEN Error 22 Invalid Argument
I have built a dom 0 using a Gentoo Linux kernel. All is up and running
with no errors.
I downloaded a Centos 4.4 image from the web and when I rum xm I get an
error 22. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong and/or where I can
find more documentation on running unmodified VMX guest domains. The
Xen 3.0 Users Manual is out of date.
Here is the control file:

Issue with CentOS 4.5 as DomU
Hello list,
I want to virtualize my physical CentOS 4.5 yet. Therefor I download the
CentOS 4.5 iso. After mounting the iso on my notebook and make the mounted
iso available via nfs I start on my CentOS 5 xen machine following command:
virt-install -n myServer --ram=512 -f /virt/myServer.disk -s 150
--nographics -p --location=nfs:nbk:/media/centos
This works for CentOS 5 DomUs but CentOS 4.5

Xend crashes when it''s trying to create domU
Hi, every one:
I had problem creating domU on diskless device by
using xen-unstable. Following, please find out
details. BTW, the same configuration works fine on
device with hard disk
(1) Xen, dom0 kernel and dom0 root file system are
loaded/mounted over via eth0
(2) DomU root file system is created in a file-backed
virtual block device(VBD). The file-backed VBD locates

rebuilding my Xen0 kernel numerous times and trying different
configurations, but I haven''t yet ever got a single DomU to boot so I
really don''t even know what is supposed to happen, let alone how to
start debugging it...
Can someone please speculate on how to debug this further? It''s a

Does anyone has Windows Guest OS running successfully with the Dom0 has all
the physical memory allocated?
If I don''t lower the memory assign to Dom0 through grub, I will not be able

Using the parallel port from domU
Hello
I use xen and I am trying to use the parallel port of Centos 5.2
host from a Windows XP (HVM) guest. I have tried to transfer control of
the port by blacklisting lp, parport and parport_pc + adding:

to the xen configuration file.
However, in the presence of this line, xm create replies with:

xen serial port access for domu?

I've disabled the xen hypervisor serial console, and can see the

serial_core modules on dom0 and rebooted. xm create domain

only 3 were given.
